Liked: Great food, lovely room with a view of the sunset across rice paddies - great.

Disliked: Wasn't the cheapest, but they are providing more low-end hotel quality service, so price was reasonable.

Liked: Make sure you arrive before 6pm as the boat to take you across the river to the property stops running them and it's a long and costly (and bumpy) journey otherwise.In terms of the property, it was fantastic. We had our own private little hut which looked like a jelly tot. Mosquito nets were provided and the restaurant was also really good. Would definitely recommend this as a little haven away from the real India.

Liked: A nice place to stay. Have to cross the river to see main sites and the last boat is at around 6pm. However there are tons of places to eat on this side of the river and isn't much to do on the other side in the evening that would make you want to stay later.It is quicker and cheaper to get to Hospet from the other side of the river so you would have to cross at 6pm if you were getting the night bus/train. Alternative you can pay 700rupees for a taxi from the guest house. We shared with two other people we met so worked out about the same

Liked: nothing pretty much , it was overpriced by about 50% compared to other local properties , it was the furthest away from the centre and a long haul with bags, hot water was rarely actually available ,electricty was only available from 7 in the evening , the light in the room was so dim it was hard to even see and worst of all the grounds (they are cottage rooms) are home to a pack of seven feral street dogs which made it a hellish experience trying to work your way back through the foliage to your room at night and been ambushed by these rabid animals
