Liked: During our stay at Per Avel we liked the hotel itself. Most of the staff (especially Nelson, the barkeeper) is friendly and helpful. We met nice people there and the room was okay. Very nice were the evenings at the bar and the laundry service.

Disliked: We disliked the behavior of the staff, who are mostly indian teenagers. As soon as the boss left (or the barkeeper was not there) they did not pay a lot of attention to the guests and were constantly using their cell phones. we found that very annoying. At the day of our arrival we got a very dirty room and at first nobody seemed to care about our wishes to have a clean room. It took some time and effort until we got what we were supposed to get. The beach in Candolim is awful! The worst we seen by now!

Liked: The location was lovely. Just a short walk to the beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Complimentary breakfast basic but fine . Excellent value for money.

Liked: As a lot of people found you get hassled for extra money on arrival due to "booking errors". The landlady AKA "Madam" is really hard on the staff but pleasant enough with the guests. Emannuel (manny) the barman is by far the best bit of this hotel and made our stay better than we expected. Others hotels offer better value for money. The location is good but the beach in Candolim is getting eroded very seriously resulting in large black barriers being fiited.Generally OK and I would return but not make it my first choice.

Liked: It is a nice and cosy place near the Candolim beach, one hour drive by taxi from the airport. The staff are very friendly people. Breakfast is served in a garden. I would not mind staying there again.

Liked: 30 second walk from Condalim the beach (which has a lovely restaurant overlooking it). Very celan, lovely gardens located centrally of the complex, and relatively short cab journey to other popular beaches in north Goa. Definately reccomend it!

Liked: location is excellent, close to beach, taxis, shops, restuarants, and off the noisy main street. Rooms are comfortable, quiet, secure and tidy. Grounds are tidy, refreshing and comfortable with a bar with good value drinks & snacks.Management is efficient, fair and responsive.You will get real value for money without frills.If you want frills, then go elsewhere and pay a lot more.
