By Rail:

New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is the nearest railhead. It is well connected to most important cities.

From NJP, you have the option of taking the picturesque ‘Toy train’ to Darjeeling, which takes about 9 hours to cover the distance.


By Road, Darjeeling is a three hour drive from Bagdogra as well as from NJP. The road meanders through scenic slopes dotted with tea gardens and is quite pleasant. If your timing is right, you can catch sight of the Toy train slowly chugging along beside the road.
