Liked: Staff very friendly

Disliked: The room was quite dark and basic. Very disappointed about the roof terrace - there was nothing there and it was very grotty.

Liked: Good location. Clean and secure. Nice cold shower for those balmy afternoons.

Disliked: Coffee and Tea not the best in India. :(

Liked: Clean friendly, Anu and his brother Shyam were very helpful and advised us on everything we needed. It was within walking distance of restaurants, and shops.

Liked: Clean Hot water if you asked. Didnt try breakfast but looked ok when I saw on someone elses plate Could sit upstairs where the tables were and very nice close to bus terminal but better if you alight at the Santa Cruze Bascilica as it is very close.

Disliked: My room which was ground floor only had tiny window at the top of the wall that could br opened

Liked: Actually we stayed at Good Karma instead of mothertree, because there where no rooms avaliable, so im whriting about Good Karma. nice rooms, the owner and staff was really friendly and the location was good. Would recommend it if youre not travelling on budget.

Disliked: I think it was to expensive compared to what you get (high season). The aircondotion was broken (to cold) and the owner would not give us any discount on the room.

Liked: Its very clean and pretty close to the beach. The people are very friendly and helped us with every question(qagain and again :-) ). you can have here also a little nice breakefast and you can book over the homestay a wonderful tour to the tee hills in munnar.

Liked: Ok location in Fort Kochi

Disliked: Very small room in Hotel Mother Tree and no hot water however we were moved to Hotel Good Karma for the last night, the was much better bigger room loads if hot water much better over all.

Disliked: Rooms were small. The first room we were given did not have any hot water, we were moved for our second night.

Disliked: Room quite small, OK for 1 person but would be tight for 2.

Liked: Very nice and clean (!) place. the 2 brothers who run the hostel are so friendly and help you concerning every issue...the offered rickshaw tour through fort cochin is quite okay if you do not have problems that all the places you are visiting, will turn out to be temples of commerce and everybody tries to sell any immaginable shit to you ;o) - especially: the viewing point where you see the whole old city of fort cochin (it's on the 4th level and before reaching the top you pass several shopping departments....FUN-not...)

Disliked: as a cupple you need privacy which was not quiet possible as we had to stay in the first floor right in front of the watch man...not very romantic...

Liked: Friendly, clean in comparison with other hostels actually supply bog paper !!!Allowed us to leave luggage while we toured country

Disliked: You probaly wont stay at Mothertree as they overbook but have friends in other guest houses who put you up instead They failed to pick us up at airport Charges double if you switch aircon on

Liked: Clean room and good shower.

Disliked: I'm very sad t oreport that my stay at Mothertree was very unpleasent. One of the night staff started knocking on my door at 6:30am telling me he has black coffee for me. When I told him it was not for me, maybe someobody else ordered it, her returned at 7am. When I openned the door and asked him to leave, he started saying he thought I was tired and wanted to give me coffee and tried to get into my room. It took some firm words to get him out of my room. I was shocked and infuriated. As a single woman travelling on my own safety is most important, and I felt very unsafe over there. Please post this comment on your site, I would hate other women to experience the same.

Liked: I liked that our host was ready to help and accommodate requests that we had or answer questions that we had whenever he could and would seek the answers to questions elsewhere if he didn't know the answer.

Liked: Very helpful staff & a spotless room. Near everything there is to do at Fort Cochin & a short walk to the ferries for Ernakulum & Vypeen Island. Would definitely recommed this as a place to stay.

Liked: we arrived at 20.30 but i had submitted the time of arriving when booking and the owner of mother tree told us that he didnt have a room for us and that we have to go to his brother's hostel nearby as we were tired we did.Next morning we get up at 10.50 and he plays he doesnt see us so no breakfast.The second day we get up at 9 we ask for breakfast and he answers we should order from the day before he gives us only cofee sitting on the ground not even offers a chair.Anyway breakfast is not expensive in india but i didnt like the behavour.what i graded above was his brothers hostel not mothertree.It was a clean and secure place but not really friendly

Liked: Really brilliant place to stay! We actually stayed at their sister property 'Good Karma' which is a two minutes walk away from Mother Tree and has only been open 3 weeks! Dont be put off by the fact it only has one rating! We had a brilliant time, the staff are really really helpful. Its walking distance to everywhere, very very clean, good aircon! Breakfast was really good too! Defiantly recommend this place!

Liked: This was probably the best hostel we stayed in during our trip to India. The two brothers running this establishment were helpful and friendly from the off. We were given a 5 minute introduction to the sights of fort cochin and the surrounding area. We arranged our backwater cruise with the utmost of ease. Lovely rooms,, excellent location (3 minutes walk from the chinese fishing nets) and A++ for the welcoming environment you created. Thank you so much!!
