Liked: A very warm and welcoming home and the owners are fantastic. The rooms its self were spacious and very well equipped and luxuriously decorated. Breakfast and the accompanying conversation were a pure bonus!

Disliked: Location was a tad difficult to find at night, maybe a location map could be sent out along with booking confirmation.

Liked: It's great - stay at this guesthouse! Clean and nicely furnished with friendly staff and lovely home-cooked Indian food available in the evening (you have to order it in advance) and western breakfast (typical toast and jam stuff). The gentleman who runs it is very interesting and welcoming with quite a dry sense of humour! We booked a car for the day through the guesthouse to visit the Taj, Agra Fort etc. which worked well.

Liked: It was a haven! Fantastic place to stay, exceptionally clean and comfortable, great food and Rahj was very friendly and helpful. He can provide transport from the station or airport, which is a great help too. The hostel is rather out on a limb, but in Agra you would need transport to most sights anyway.

Liked: Great place and good location. In Agra you need a ricksaw to go anywhere so, this is a very quiet place to be based. Very recommended

Liked: The people at this homestay are really friendly and if you ask them any advice they'll not hesitate to help, regarding train bookings, day trips around Agra and general do's and dont's in India. The location is quite difficult to find but they organise train station pick up! Email them in advance, it's worth it!!! The area is lovely and peaceful after the hectic day in Agra. The rooms were immaculate too. I can't fault it in any way. It's a bit more expensive than we usually pay but worth it 100% this time.

Liked: A quiet haven away from the hubbub of Agra city centre but close enough to be there in a few minutes on an autorickshaw.

Liked: Garden Villa was an absolutely amazing hotel. We didn't arrive til around 9 pm and we were exhausted from overnight travel on trains. We were greeted by the owner of the property with a smile and he let us straight to a beautiful private air conditioned room. Breakfast was complimentary - always a nice surprise. I would recommend utilizing the train station pick-up because our rickshaw driver had a hard time locating the property. This was the nicest hostel I have ever stayed at and I would highly recommend visiting Garden Villa.

Liked: The room was good even if the tv’s aerial was out, the ac was too noisy (impossible to fall asleep) and the toilet leaked out. The owner can speak english and french. He advised us to organize our trip on Agra. We could eat only for the breakfast. It was a problem for us because the hotel was far away from the center. In conclusion the price/quality wasn’t good.

Liked: The Rajbansh family are excellent hosts & Garden Villa Homestay is located in a quieter area of Agra so you are relatively (traffic etc) noise free. Mr Rajbansh is informative on places to go & what to see & will arrange transport should you require. We would suggest asking for Mr Guddu as a driver as he is not only helpful & knowledgeable on places to see & eat but a thoroughly nice person.

Liked: First, as many places in India, your taxi driver and several others will attempt to persuade you to stay somewhere else because they get a commission. Demand they take you here. It's a little off the beaten path, but I found that to be a good thing. The host, Raj, is one of the most honest persons I met in India and quite pleasant to visit with. The entire city was without power during my stay, and although they have battery backup, it is not sufficient to supply A/C. Raj was gracious enough to reduce my rate without me saying a word. Liked: I liked the classiness of the Villa, it was nicely furnished and comfortable. The son was particularly nice and helpful. My only complaint was that the light in the bathoom didn't work and the tube should have been replaced. And as it was very cold a fan heater would have helped to take the chill off the room. Everything else was good and I would consider staying there again.

Liked: Very nice guesthouse, very clean (the whitest sheets we had in India !)and quiet. A bit far from the center, but still OK.The family is friendly, and the mother is a very good cooker.

Liked: Despite our extremely late arrival due to a train delay, the owners stayed up to greet us and ensured us a welcome with a smile. The room was very beautifully decorated and comfortable. The Taj Mahal and fort can be reached via a short taxi or rickshaw drive.

Liked: Great family atmosphere, nice and knowledgeable owner, spotless house and divine food. Treatment of the guests is unbelievable! Great for couples and families. Remoteness is advantage, because the neighborhood is clean, secure and quiet, with hot water and less power cuts. For any travel arrangements consult with the owner, he has suggestions for any price range and time frame!
