Liked: Actually I am 2nd time here, Mr.Lamba and Ms.Pushpi are very kind , we feel like home, you have your privacy, all house is for your own,nice breakfast, very nice "menu confirmed " dinner. We were short of time and Mr.Lamba organised some our fruit and spice shopping. Thanks a lot one more time, I will always recommend to stay at this Guest House and plse book via www.hostelbookers.com :)

Liked: Col. Lamba is very friendly and helpful. The accomodation is very clean and well kept. It is very secure. The rickshaw we arranged through the Col. was very good value and a great day seeing the city.

Disliked: The location is a bit out of the way, there are no restaurants near by so you have to get a rickshaw to eat in the evenings (unless you get a pizza hut pizza delivered! ;) )

Liked: The staff was quite friendly and very helpful. The property is very clean, very well equipped and quite spacey. There is a wonderful balcony from where you can see Taj Mahal. They serve wonderful breakfasts.

Disliked: The property is quite far from the city center - from the main cultural sights. It is quite expensive. We asked them if we could use the bathroom after time, when guests are to check out, they were not very pleased. However we were allowed to use it and they did not charge any extra. We were also surprised that there was no glass windows, so during the night it was quite noisy.

Liked: Col. Lamba's Homestay is exactly what is says, a home away from home. The Col. and his wife are very wellcoming and made us feel relaxed and right at home, especially after the trials and tribulations we had experienced the previous week!! The location is excellent, close to all the main attractions and the roof terrace has a brilliant view over the city and is the best place to watch the sun go down. An absolute MUST when visiting Agra!!!!!

Liked: I liked the cleanliness of the room and the comfortable bed.

Disliked: There was no WIFI and breakfast was only from 7:00-9:30 so we missed it entirely because we wanted to be at the Taj Mahal for sunrise (7:05 am)

Liked: the colonel and hıs famıly are ıncredıbly hospıtable. we felt very much at home and very safe and well fed. the property ıs very clean, as are the rooms. there ıs not much to do ın agra save for the fort and taj that can be seen ın one day, but make sure you get up before sunset to go to the taj to beat the lıneups. the colonel suggested we do thıs and ıt was worth ıt 100%.

Disliked: not a whole lot. we are ın our twentıes and there was one young couple there and an old couple, and the area ıs pretty ghetto (but the property ıs safe!!). low vacancy makes ıt hard to meet people, but as there ıs not much to do ın agra, you shouldn't be there for more than one nıght, anyway.

Liked: Col. Lamba and his wife are very nice and were very accommodating. The arranged pick up from the train station at a good price. We were only there for 1 day and Col. Lamba arranged a day rickshaw tour with (Veejay). He was a great guide, if you get the chance ask for him. I highly recommend this home stay.

Liked: We had a great stay here. It was terribly cold when we got there but there was ample warm blankets. There was a shortage of hot water but was arranged for immediately when brought to their notice. In spite of constant power outages in Agra, we didnt feel the pinch as the homestay had a back up power supply. The request for vegetarian breakfast was attended to immediately as they rummaged through their kitchen and made something for us quickly. The place was very clean and safe. Col Lamba and his wife were excellent hosts and they genuinely like to meet people. Overall, it was a great stay here. TOTAL recommend.

Liked: If you go to Agra you must stay at Col. Lamba's Home stay - to miss staying with the Colonel would be the same as going to Agra and missing the Taj !!

Liked: It was in a good area and Mr Lamba is friendly and helpful. Don't have dinner there though, we were charged 700 Rs!! About 10 times the everage cost of a meal!

Liked: Very clean and well maintained and nicely located with easy access to nearby facilities.The Col and his good lady were fantastic hosts and looked after us very well indeed. Would recommend this as the ideal example of a home stay in India.

Liked: Friendly & helpful people; clean, large rooms - as good as a hotel. Our only quibble is we thought the meals and breakfasts were very basic & rather expensive at 700 rupees each, which we only realised when paying the bill.

Liked: An oasis of tranquility in Agra! Lovely, charming hosts and great service. Spacious, spotless, lovely rooms with all mod cons. There is also a small restaurant, and the food is excellent. Highly recommended, excellent value for money.
