The feeling of "home"
5 November 2008
Amazing place, we were upgraded to an apartment for the night. Close to town, family run and now oh-so-cheap.

Very well located 5 minutes form the bus station and only about 10 from the city center, really clean and there is a nice kitchen if you are staying several days!!

The family of the guesthouse was very friendly and the rooms were cozy and everything in the house clean and neetly decorated. The guestmother was also very flexible to whatever needs one might have had - like luggage or check-in and -out time etc.

Very close to bus station, few minute walk to down town and located in a great neighborhood. Owner is great and very helpful. Laundry, internet and flat screen on the room.

Maybe it's because we were there in November and it wasn't too busy, infact we were pretty much the only people is the place!! But dont let this put you off. This is a great guesthouse with very friendly and kind staff - the owner even took us on a free guided tour of the city before we checked in!! The facilities are only basic, as are the rooms, but to be honest Reykjavik, and Iceland, has so much to see and do you won't spend that much time in your hestel anyway!! Overall a very safe hostel with a good location (directly opposite where the buses come in from Keflavik) and definatley worth a visit!!

Absolutely lovely - quiet and perfect for a relaxing time away in Reykjavik. Cheapest and no doubt nicest place to stay in the city.

The woman who owned the hostel was so nice and she was really helpful and concerned that we were having a good time. The facilities were clean and the hostel was close to the downtown area. I loved that we had wireless internet that was reliable and free. It was very quiet, so those looking for a young party hostel would be disappointed, but there is enough partying in Reykjavik. We really liked the hostel.

We got a free update to one of the appartments because it wasn't booked for the weekend! Further is the location really perfect. Just a nice stroll to all the things to see and do in Reykjavik

I loved the size and the kitchen. It was like being in my own apartment! It exceeded my expectations.

The fact that we had everything for ourselves for a very reasonable price for Icelandic standards. We had more space than most expensive hotels offer in Reykjavik I guess.

The staff were very friendly and we were excpecting a twin room and shared bathroom and pretty much got a self contained apartment-delightful and fantastic VFM. would defo recommend it, great location.

Beautiful historical family home full of art-5 mins walk to the centre. Secure, clean and with delightful hosts as well as one of Reykjavik's many friendly cats to keep you company. A truly wonderful place.

We only stayed one night, we were expecting basic accommodation, but towels and linen were provided, didn't need sleeping bags and we got en suite. Staff really nice and helpful, it was lovely and 5 minute walk from city.
