Liked: Baldursbra Guesthouse is located only a couple of blocks from downtown center in Reykjavik. Evelyn, the owner, is extremely helpful and is a wealth of knowledge. The rooms are small, with only the basics...which is fine, because you will not even be in your room for very long with so much to see in Iceland! Breakfast is typical with bread, cheese, meat, cereal, and coffee. One of the great aspects of this guesthouse is that all tours and the Airport Flybus will pick you up at the front door, which is such a help! I would reccomend this guesthouse to anyone visiting the city! We had a great time, and we hope to return again someday!

Liked: Very friendly, helpful adn cheerful couple managing the guesthouse The breakfast room and the garden are very nice. The room was large and confortable. I had a great time, can recommend this place.

Liked: The owners were very helpful friendly and knowledgeable making our holiday in Iceland one of the best. Great hot tub outside and 24 hour daylight meant we could party all night!!

Liked: We loved the endlessly hot geothermally-heated showers, the very clean and nicely furnished private rooms, the low cost / good value, the very nice staff and guests. The location was wonderful - very pleasant and quiet part of town. It's close to a big park and pond and many museums, and is only a very short, safe, beautiful walk (10-15 minutes) to all the action in Reykjavik. There were also many vegan options at the free breakfast buffet, which we really appreciated.

Liked: very warm welcome, a cosy place , a very friendly atmosphere . the jacuzzy in the garden is a great bonus to relax after a long day touring ! very good location , 10 mn walk to downtown and 5-10 mn from the bsi bus terminal. I definitely would like to stay there again whan i come back , we felt like home.

Liked: There was a great breakfast every morning, the hot tub was nice, it was very clean, and there's tons of brochures about excursions you can take all over Iceland. The owners are very helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy yourself.

Liked: Owner couldn`t do enough to help, even when I arrived in the middle of the night. Organised day trips with excellent transport. Nice breakfast. Great location.

Liked: Fantastic location, very helpful and friendly owner - she booked all of our trips. Breakfast was also included in the price, room was large and clean - I would highly recommend this hostel.

Liked: the owner was very helpful at all times. we arrived on the 31st of december, and there was kir royale and lots of food for everybody to celebrate the new year. breakfast was very good (coffee, tea, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, crepes, jam, bread, toast). less than 10 min walk to center of town and located on a street with little traffic.
