Liked: The hostel host was very accommodating, she saved us a few times by calling tour companies and letting us know pick up times and driving us to the bus to the airport. She was great, you just have to ask and inquire though and she will give you all the answers.

Liked: Excellent location, and the most welcoming owner you could hope for - incredibly helpful in a practical way. Even drove us to the bus stop at the end of our stay, and managed to persuade the bus company to get the driver to come back and pick us up after it had left. (We were late.)

Liked: About helpfulness: you had to uncover the hot pot in the garden yourself. Really heavy lid.About cleanliness: the hot pot water was filthy.

Liked: Man, this place was so great. I got in on a really crappy flight from Canada and was starving by the time I made it to the hostel at 8AM. The hostess met me on the street and had a great breakfast buffet all ready for me. The location is great, short walking distance from everything, and there is a jacuzzi you can use. I'll stay here again when I return to Iceland.

Liked: Evelyn the lady who runs the place is the best. It's like a bed and breakfast with the cozy feeling but of better value than a b&b! The place is definitely not overpriced, it's an easy walk to the city center and other sites of Reykjavik, Evelyn will make sure you have everything you need. She'll even help you book tours, make phone calls, morning calls. I like the Icelandic breakfast they serve. Also, many travelers come through this place and breakfast is a great time to trade stories with the folks you meet there. Everyone is really friendly. All in all, you can't get any better than this.
