Liked: Evelyn was very helpfull.Balduras are situated close to the center and still in a very quiet and nice area.I liked the atmosphere and it was funny to talk to the other guests from other countries and listen to where they have been going and what they have experienced.

Liked: Pleasant staff; friendly hosts. Nice breakfast; 2 water closets/bathrooms per floor (each floor was only 3 rooms); good location.

Liked: Liked it so much we went back. This time the hostel owner had our breakfast ready at 4am, and then drove us down to the bus station to go to the airport. That's service!Free breakfast, free bus pick up and drop off, free wifi in the common area. Its clean and centrally located.Highly recommended.

Liked: What other hostel owner will meet you at the bus station at 1am in the morning, book your tours, and lend you their motoring guide and maps even when you leave the hostel?Free breakfast, free bus pick up and drop off, free wifi in the common area. Its clean and centrally located.The TV is perpetually on French soapies so its a bit hard to get to see the news. There is a kitchen you can use, but its the owners so it kind of feels like you're intruding.Highly recommended.

Liked: Evelyne was so helpful - she organised our car hire and helped us out with lots of information. The hostel is a 5 minute walk to the main street and the rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The breakffast was filling with bread, jam, cereal, eggs, fruit and a variety of cheese and cold meats. Would definitely stay here again - one of the best hostels I have been at!

Liked: Evelyne and Phillip were amazing. She picked me up from the bus station at 6:30am, then took me to the hostel, where she had an amazing breakfast already waiting for me. Did I mention it was 6:30am when I arrived? What a welcome!!! Was stuck there because of the volcano, but I didn't mind. I loved my stay at Baldursbra. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if I returned to Iceland. Oh yeah.... Free bottled water.

Liked: The hosts were fabulous; very helpful and friendly. Knowledgeable, too.The location was superb - close tothe bus sation and downtown. The beds were comfy, food was delicious and plentiful and the hot tub was a nice bonus.

Liked: The Baldursbra Guest House must rate as one of the very best places we've ever stayed at. Extremely friendly and welcoming, great value for money, great jacuzzi in the back garden, great breakfast and the host, Evelyn, made us feel more at home than we have felt before on any of our travels. Liked: If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Reykjavik, there you are! Evelyne, the owner, is very welcoming and she helped us to book our excursions many times. The breakfast is amazing, perfect to begin our long days exploring the country. The location is also great : we only have to walk 10 minutes to be in the main street of Reykjavik! To finish, the rooms are nice and clean... Are you still hesitating about your location? Me neither!

Liked: I stayed here between the 25th & 29th March with 2 friends. We had a great stay here, Evelynne the owner so helpful and took care of organising our excursions ensuring that we got to see everything we wanted to. The room was ample and very clean, clean towels provided daily. Very much a home from home complete with a hot tub in the garden...awesome! Also got to mention the continental breakfast provided in the price which was delicious. Great location, an easy stroll into town where the restaurants and bars await. Speaking of restaurants be sure to try "The Lobster House" for a swanky meal and delcious meal.
