Liked: It was quite new fresh, clean, and spacious and after seeing other guesthouses it rated well above them though the location is a bit removed.

Liked: hostel was quiet, which suited us and although it is a 20 min walk from the city centre is was literally accross the street from a bus stop and the buses ran every 20 min so it was no problem to get in the town. Very good price and friendly staff.

Liked: the staff at Palshus was really gentle and helpful. We spent a great time there, and I immediately called the guesthouse "my home in Iceland". Every evening it seemed like going home!It' a special place, very warm.

Liked: it was in a lovely location, the room was excellent, large, clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big, clean, modern, the water was hot, the kitchen was well stocked, it was like sharing a flat rather than staying at a hostel.

Liked: clean, relaxed atmostphere, quiet-we were not looking for a party place, great food store very nearby with all you need for decent eating, busstop at the door with a schedule-the buss even came on time!

Liked: clean, friendly, welcoming, great facilities - we were there with our one year old baby - spotlessly clean travel cot and bedding were provided for him...we did confirm this in advance
