Palshus Guesthouse is in Skerjafjordur. This is a small, old and peaceful residential part of the city with many houses made of timber and the quintessential corrugated iron, which is quite a landmark of old Reykjavik. Skerjafjordur is close to Reykjavik airport for domestic flights and in walking distance from the old part of the city centre, about 15-20 minutes. Palshus is well located for the travelers without a car because the bus stops in front of the guesthouse.

Palshus Guesthouse is located in a family residence. We live on the upper floors and the guesthouse is in the lower part of the house plus a small guesthouse in the garden. That gives us the possibility of providing the best possible service. The ceilings in the guesthouse are high and the rooms are bright and they face the garden. The rooms are equipped with TV,CD player and free wireless internet access. They share a kitchen with all essential appliances and cutlery. The bathroom is also shared, with both shower and bath facilities. Our guests can have extra beds in the rooms, whether it be for children or an adult. We also offer sleeping-bag accommodations for backpackers in the summertime. Please note that check out time is 12:00am.

Accommodation Information

At Einarsnes 58 we have 3 rooms that hold 2 people each and one triple room, access to a shared bathroom and a kitchen corner. Extra beds are available as for crib for the baby.
The kitchen offers refrigerator, small stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and most off kitchenware you need to use. There is a hot-tub in the garden that guests are welcome too use for small entrance fee. This is a non- smoking guesthouse. Children are welcome. For this summer 2009 we also have 2 rooms available at Einarsnes 44, one double room and one triple room. The rooms have also shared bathroom and kitchen.
