Liked: The staff are pleasant and helpful. The kitchen and bathrooms are well ordered and have everything you need.

Disliked: The linen fee was a bit of a surprise (it wasn't obvious when I booked), but overall, it's still good value for Reykjavik. Also, the place was very quiet, so this may be a good or bad thing depending on your view.

Liked: The location is great. The girl with the Batman/Mickey Mouse sweaters and silver hair with the braid was really nice and friendly. There is another guy there with a thick scottish accent I believe that was also friendly. There are lots of pamphlets and information on the city. The kitchen is nicely equipped. They had open mic night our first night there in the bar, which, while the people were generally awful, was a lot of fun to watch.

Disliked: The rooms are small and stuffy. It´s definitely overpriced considering you can rent a studio in the city center for the price of two people in a dorm. Bed linens are way way too expensive, internet is too expensive, and the girl with blue eyes and short hair at the front desk, while smoking hot, is a bit unfriendly. I also didn´t particularly like that there was someone "hanging out" at the front desk when we checked in and needed to go get the girl (hot black haired girl) that actually worked there.

Liked: The staff are very helpful, they always assist to call travel service for me. Value for money!

Disliked: Reception area is closed in the night during the winter, so if you are waiting somebody pick up you to the airport before 7am, you have to standing outside.

Liked: The bar on the main level was a great place to meet other like-minded travelers! And the staff were very funny and easy-going.

Liked: Great location, and the staff were mostly very helpful.

Disliked: The room doors are retrofitted with the most offensive alarm systems which send off endless sirens across the hostel when not slammed fully closed (after 3 seconds of being ajar), or at times randomly when malfunctioning. This drew complaints for everyone in the room and sleeping was very difficult. Also the wifi was constantly going off and even when it is working, does not extend to the rooms. Kitchen is inconveniently located on the 4th floor. Common area is locked off in the evening during the week.

Liked: Nice place in the city, in the biggest street of Reykjavik. Staff is nice.

Disliked: Rooms are too small, no air, it's too hot. In the shower sometimes there's no hot water. Beds are very unconfortable, very old bed. The price is too high and if you want to cancel they charge you anyway. THANKS A LOT

Liked: The staff were extremely helpful. The location is fantastic.

Disliked: The only thing that could have been better was the breakfast. I found it expensive for buns and cheese. No cereal or fruit.

Liked: Great Location, nice atomsphere, good services, very nice and helpful staff

Disliked: It was very difficult to get some airflow in our room, therefore it got pretty hot in there. Not too much space in the room either, with everyone having a big backpack, it got quite crowded. Also, there is a bar just next doors, so if you plan to go to bed early on a Friday night, get yourself some earplugs (you can get some at the reception)!

Liked: Excellent hostel. I'd stuffed up my booking initially and the staff were so helpful in fixing it all out. Also they were very helpful in making bookings. It was perfectly located, clean & everything you could want from a hostel.

Disliked: Given that it was always daylight maybe thicker curtains could have been nice as it got pretty bright in the rooms.

Liked: Centrally located, good common room/bar with games and social atmosphere, helpful staff.

Disliked: Have to pay quite a lot for linens, loud on weekend nights and one night a female staff member was really loud while checking someone into our dorm room in the middle of the night -- it would have been nice if she lowered her voice in consideration of everyone else in the room who was sleeping.

Liked: Reykjavik Backpackers is the best! It's in a great location - right near an airport bus stop, and in the middle of one of the main streets. The rooms were really clean and well-facilitated, and the staff were all so friendly and funny! Special mention to Ingi and Gretar who took us on an awesome Friday night pubcrawl!! It was really easy to meet people there, especially in the downstairs common room/bar which was great on a weekend, but at the same time the rooms didn't get too noisy at all during the night. I'm definitely coming back to Reykjavik in my life, and when I do, I will be coming back here. Thanks for everything guys. :)

Disliked: no elevator, but if you are in iceland you also want to do some sports, even if its climbing stairs with a luggage.

Liked: directly in the city center. very nice and helpful staff

Disliked: quite noisy place on the weekend: you could hear the music from the bar next to the hostel and also the noise from the street. some rooms were quite narrow.
