Domus is a comfortable and nicely decorated guesthouse located in the heart of Reykjavik city center.

Welcome to Domus guesthouse!

Domus Guesthouse is a very attractive stone building in the city center of Reykjavik at Hverfisgata 45. The main shopping street ‘Laugarvegur’ is just a 3 minute walk away, where you can find restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, art galleries and museums.

You will find a warm reception at Domus and moderate prices. We take pride in our personal service and friendly environment making sure that you will feel right at home during your stay with us.

We have 12 spacious twin rooms all with a TV, linen and alarm clock, with shared bathroom and shower facilities and space for 22 in a dormitory with sleeping bags. We have recently added private rooms for sleeping bag accommodation (bedlinen and towels are not included in dorm rooms). We also offer three family apartments with a private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, internet access, TV, and a sleeping area for 4-6 persons.

Our check in time is from 14:00 pm -03:00 pm, please note that most flights from the USA arrive in Iceland between 06:00 am and 08:00 am in the morning.

If you wish to check-in early you will have to reserve a room for the night before you arrive. We will offer this to you for half the normal price.

Accommodation Information

Single, Twin and Triple rooms include:

TV ,alarm clock and wireless internet access is in every room
Linen and towels are provided.
Towels and garbage bags are changed every second day.
Linen is changed every forth day.
Guests have access to our kitchen and laundry facilities every day, we also provide guest fridges so you can store your own food and drinks.
Domus guesthouse has three floors, on each floor there are 4 rooms sharing a bathroom and shower facilities.

Shared and private dormitory:
Our dormitory offers shared sleeping bag accomodation for up to 22 persons.
Shared bathroom and shower facilities are located next to the dormitory room, all guests have access to a washing machine and guest kitchen between 12:00-20:00
Breakfast, towels and bedlinen are not included in price

For people looking for sleeping bag accommodation in private rooms we have the following oprions:

Private dorm room for 2 persons, 2 beds or 1 bunk bed, TV, pillows, bathroom facilities are shared.

Private dorm room for 4 persons, 2 beds + 1 bunk bed, TV, pillows, bathroom facilities are shared.

Private dorm room for 6 persons, 3 bunk beds, TV, desk, pillows, bathroom facilities are shared.

Bedlinen, breakfast and towels are not included in private dorm rooms.

Apartments:
Lux apartment:
is decorated in a romantic style. It has a large Jacuzzi bathroom, a fully equipped gas stove kitchen, a private washing machine and dryer, a dinging area, a living area with leather sofas and two single beds, and a loft bedroom with one double bed. TV, wireless internet connection, linen and towels are included.

Family studio for 4:
offers 4 single beds, a private shower bathroom, a washing machine and dryer, a living area, dining area and a fully equipped kitchenette. Tv, free internet connection, linen and towels are included.


Family apartment for 6:
offers 6 single beds, one bedroom with three beds, one living room/bedroom with 3 beds, a sofa and a dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a private shower bathroom, a washing machine and dryer.

All our apartments have free wireless internet access, a color TV, bedlinen, towels and an alarm clock.
Breakfast is not included in apartments rates.
