Liked: Location is great, and all the guests were very respectful.

Disliked: it was quite strange that I never once saw a member of staff during my 3 day visit, nor did anyone I have spoken to. However, this didn't turn out to be an issue at all, it just felt strange. Little bathroom was

Liked: Very nice and friendly atmosphere, perfect location in Reykjavik, good price, wireless internet.

Disliked: The 4-bed dorm room was very small. One of the two showers was not working

Liked: The location is great and the manager was very nice although I never actually met him. This place is fantastic for those who want a safe and inexpensive place to stay. There were a lot of other nice travelers staying there as well, so the atmosphere was very congenial. If you are looking for activities arranged by the hostel, this is not the place for you. You have to like being an independent traveler in need of a clean space and good kitchen. I had a great stay and would return!

Disliked: It would have been nice to have met the manager, but on the other hand, it was kind of nice to be left alone.

Liked: Very nice place, more intimate than a backpackers, so nicer to stay at. The place was clean and the people were friendly. They have available coffee for everyone and other small eatables like granola and such.

Disliked: I wouldn't precisely say that I did not like this, but I was slightly confused because there is no reception. Therefore, they leave you your key on the kitchen table and you help yourself. They have a number which you can call from there and they answer very quickly and friendly, so I did not mind this, or anyone that I met there, but there is slight confusion.

Liked: Sehr sauber, sehr gute Lage, und sicher obwohl alles "gemeinsam" ist. Andere Gäste waren alle gut!

Disliked: Obwohl das Haus ganz in der Stadtmitte liegt, ist es irgendwie unbekannt. Manche Transfer-Servis wissen wahrscheinlich nicht, wo das liegt.

Liked: We originally booked at Guesthouse Von and there was a mix-up with the reservation... the Manager emailed me and then called me to apologize. He then went the extra mile to put us up in another guesthouse of theirs (Guesthouse Aurora), gave us a room upgrade (a double bed, shared kitchen & bathroom with only one other room which was a nice change!) and free breakfast for our stay. I highly recommend them! Very friendly, helpful, informative and just overall great people. I would stay there again.

Disliked: If you have a rented vehicle parking is limited to the streets.

Liked: Self-catering facilities, good shower, friendly, helpful staff, location,availability of wi fi

Disliked: mattress a bit soft and uneven; bit noisy at times but the location makes a bit of noise inevitable; blind to bedroom window out of reach to cut out the light in summer; waste disposal a bit unsatisfactory; no cleaner cubes for dish washer available, no tea towel for drying up dishes

Liked: The guesthouse von offers a private athmosphere for the guests, a very good location in the most beautiful and lively street in Reykjavik, the best furnishing of all guesthouses we stayed in in Iceland and a great kitchen.

Liked: The hostel was ok and couldn't be closer to the main action in Reykjavik, but I would imagine it could be unpleasant on a Friday or Saturday night unless you're going to be out until 5am. There are no staff there from mid-afternoon onwards, which was odd and felt slightly insecure at times. It also meant that when arriving at 5pm, as we did, there was no one there to tell us anything.
