Liked: Great view, excellent value for money, comfortable bed, good fast Internet

Disliked: It was a 20 min walk into town which is fine except in the snow and ice which makes it more difficult The sulphur smell in the water was present even in the cold water

Liked: It was a spacious studio apartment in a nice neighbourhood on the outskirts of the city centre. Comfortable beds and nice facilities including free phone to anywhere in iceland in the lobby, a big lift and the remote staff contact system worked very well.

Disliked: A chest of drawers in our apartment was broken on arrival, the kettle leaked from the base and two out of the four light bulbs did not work. They could do with testing these sorts of things once in a while, rather than just assuming they are okay.

Liked: We got more than we paid for. The open layout of the room was pleasant, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the views from our room were amazing. (we had a north facing room). Also having a 24 hour supermarket just across the street was nice, giving us the option to make our own food or go out.

Disliked: The shower head could have been replaced, but I suppose because of the Icelandic water they get run down a lot faster than other places in the world.

Liked: Handy location just off the main shopping street, around 10 mins walk from the action. It's on all the tour buses pick-up/drop-off points, which is really handy. Cosy little place to come back to at the end of the day, with underfloor heating to thaw out your feet.

Liked: It's very good. We initially had 5 people in our group so required an extra bed. The 5th person dropped out last minute. But the hostel was ok with us having the extra bed and we can use it without charge! There was also a free telephone for us to call tour operators (which was very important since most activities had to be done by tours in Iceland!) without charge! The room was big and the kitchen was fully stocked up with utensils for cooking =D

Disliked: The hostel doesn't have a reception, so you either ring up the person to come collect the money or place it in a white box by the counter (which doesn't feel quite safe). We had to phone up the company 5 times over 3 days before they came by the collect our money at midnight!

Liked: Very clean and modern, kitchen is really useful to have to save money on eating out every night. Lounge area with pool table was a good area to socialise although it was quite quiet when we were there. I would definitely recommend this property - amazing value.

Disliked: Nothing really, it is very good, but if you are a light sleeper then you should take earplugs as the fridge in the room was a bit distracting during the night and the walls/ceilings are quite thin so you can get a bit of noise from other people in the building - nothing to worry about though.

Liked: I cant fault these appartments at all. If you are looking for an adventure and you want somewhere quiet to sleep then this is the place for you. They provide food for your breakfast and are really helpful. It is not manned 24 hours which is not a problem as there is a free telephone on the wall to call staff, they are there within 10 mins. There is free internet and a pool table and some very reasonable places to eat close by. The city is around a 15 min walk away and is very easy to find. I cant fault the organisation of everything in Iceland, from the hotel, to the day trips to the people, they are all wonderful and I am very very sad to be home. I just wish I could live there now. Go to the Bolholt you wont be dissapointed at all. Natalie :O)

Liked: Great views, privacy, incredibly generous breakfast provisions (cereal for breakfast, sandwiches to take out and about) large rooms, well-equipped kitchenette, nice bathroom. A little walk into town (20-30 minutes) but you can go along the seafront, and there's a bus stop practically on the doorstep. My room had a great view. Great for independent travellers looking to explore the town and surrounding area.

Liked: It was cheap as chips, yet provided alot for your money! A Great self catered appartment of quality and I would definately use them again.It was only a short walk away from the centre of Reykjavic but had everything you could wish for: Tv, Fridge, Entertainment (pool, darts, games etc), cooking utensils, secure enterance and free wireless internet - which comes in very handy when trying to organise excursions.

Liked: The location and interior was very good. The cleanliness was in a sense ok but when we arrived the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned and after a call to the main staff the send someone to fix it but obviously thought it was fine as it was since they didn’t do anything about it. Some parts of the room wasn’t properly cleaned either.

Liked: We enjoyed staying at the Bolholt Studio Apartments, which were conveniently located - about a fifteen minute walk into town, close to a supermarket, and easy to find by car. There is free parking outside the hotel. The breakfast was provided in the rooms, and so you were not restricted by times. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, although you should note that the rooms are not cleaned everyda, and the towels are changed about every other day. The cooking facilities were ample for preparing a basic meal. All in all Bolholt Studio Apartments were good value for money.

Liked: Our family stayed at teh Bolholt in May 2009. The rooms were nice, but we had a problem getting the correct rooms at check in. the owner of the Bolholt got it all straightened out. He was very helpful and even loaded us one of his personal PC's for us to use. I would stay there agian.
