This was an amazing hostel for the money. The scenery was fabulous and the cottages were so cute! The cheapest hostel of the trip and the best.

This place was a find--it's a long ways from Hvolsvollur, and we had some difficulty finding it--but worth the drive! It was quiet with a view of the mountains. Staff were friendly and helpful: they even gave us a map so we could find our way easier around the SE of Iceland. I would love to stay here again.

The hot tub! Good heating, comfortable, if basic, beds. Great view, though very isolated. Good for a small group or couple , not good if you want to meet people.

The address of the hostel is not very well indicated, gives the sensation that is in the village and its location is distant enough.

We stayed in the wooden chalet, plenty of hot water, single ring stove and comfy beds, everything you need. Its not luxury but if you want luxury stay in Reykjavik. The location is excellent, and the people on the farm were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Very good value especially for 3 or 4 sharing.

lovely little wooden cabins, on a working farm. Great for family.

Cosy and great for the climate (wind proof, rain proof) comfortable. You will need a car to get from here to anywhere on the island
