I would strongly recommend this hostel for all the tourists! It was the best place we stayed to on Iceland! We lived in the newarly renovated part of the house. The dining room is so cosy with the huge windows and the fantastic view over the little church and the mountines. The rooms were simple but very clean and cosy. Don't forget to buy some candles and to have a romantic dinner in the dining-room=) After that don't forget to take a bath in the hot-sport near the house! My friend had a birthday the day we stayed there so it was a nice surprise for us to discover such a quite and peaceful place! I will defenitely stay at this hostel again if I will travel to Iceland in the future!P.S. Sorry for my English=)

I liked the fact that the hostel was in an incredible location, in a valley in the middle of the mountains. Beautiful landscape, peace, security. The only this was that the hostel was being refurbished and the showers were public- meaning no locker and for everybody able to come in.... the place was not finished yet but it looked amazing, clean, all new, and cared about.

This was my favourite place in all of Iceland and luckily we stayed two nights here. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and made us feel as if we were at home. The staff helped were more than happy to help us plan day trips and to teach us about the Icelandic culture. Even the other guests were friendly. It is in a quiet and beautiful valley, has acres of space to walk, a geothermal hot tub, and the place is clean and pretty. It was lovely to relax with a drink on the porch. Akureyri is a lovely town to visit as well. I would love to return for a visit to this hostel.

We had the whole place to ourselves because it was september and coming to the end of season. Lovely location, but completely in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure it's got a good vibe in the summer.
