Liked: The location was perfect, showers were really nice and easy to use, and the hostel is clean. The staff recommended a restaurant (Traffik) which is just around the corner, and I can recommend that place as well, very nice food!

Disliked: The doors are hard to open! I spent terrible moments in the toilets as I couldn't get the doors open... Also the entrance door is a little tricky to open with the key. The staff is not on the reception very often, although on the hostelbookers website they claim to have 24h reception - you can find help from the Nappali bar belove the hostel though.

Liked: The bed was comfortable. The guy that checked me in was really nice, friendly and helpful. The shower was good. Had actual water pressure!

Disliked: The directions from the station were pretty crap. Once you get to the square the street you are looking for has mcdonalds on the corner. I got overcharged when I paid, I was put in a 10 bed room not an 8 (which doesnt really rate but when added with the rest of it annoyed me), there was no-one around to check me out the next morning. Many of the light and power switches didnt work. The tap was loose on the sink. The bar crowd was really loud which made it difficult to sleep continuously.

Liked: nice, alternative atmosphere, very very helpful staff, kitchen+washing machine, bars downstairs

Disliked: if the door is open everyone from the bar could go into the hostel and there are also no (?) lockers

Liked: very good all round, above a bar, very friendly an clean and cool.

Disliked: one problem was nobody was really there! but thats not the hostels fault

Liked: It was a very cool place; excellent location on the main pedestrian strip; very friendly and helpful staff (who give good recommendations for local food). A nice place to stay

Liked: Extremely central, comfortable and clean. Great kitchen and dining room place.

Disliked: Not really 'common' space besides the kitchen, if you want to sit and read, you kinda just have to stay in your room instead of being somewhat social. But overall great stay, and unbeatable location.

Liked: Great location in the centre of town, friendly staff and really comfortable atmosphere - like staying at home. Cafe/bar downstairs was great - good coffee and beer, but not too much noise travelling to the rooms at night.

Disliked: Room was a bit warm on hot evenings, and there was a bit of noise from passers by on the main street outside.

Liked: - location: right on the representative street - decorations and overall ambient - nice pub downstairs with 10% discount! - kitchen - helpful owner - several bathrooms

Disliked: - no lockers in rooms, just one big open space. Hence: not so secure. - you need to drive away a bit to park your car and get back on foot. Hostel is located on pedestrian area, which has some good sides on the other hand. - no towels, but it might have been just an overlook

Liked: The young staff that were on duty were great. The kitchen was open 24/7 with free coffee and tea. Everyone cleaned up after using it. Pretty quiet even though it is right in town. Great location.

Disliked: We are a mature couple that usually travel with our 20 something kids. We always stay in hostels with them. They would have loved this place. It was a bit funky for us but the gracious staff were very welcoming and we did enjoy our stay.

Liked: The staff were helpful and the place was clean and had a nice air about it. The kitchen facilities were ample and you had free use of the fridge and hob for cooking if required. They also offered free tea, coffee and fruit! There was one bathroom and toilet on each side of the hostel (split in two sides of one level of a building) which was ample, however it was very quite when we visited. The beds were comfy and the bedding clean.

Disliked: There were no real concerns. If I was being picky then my boyfriend and I were hoping for a private double, but got a double with two singles in the rooms as well. It wasn't a problem anyway as it was quiet during our stay and nobody occupied the other beds.

Liked: We liked this hostel (and indeed this town) so much we stayed longer than planned! It's a great place with excellent facilities in the kitchen and so many bathrooms you'll never struggle to find a free shower. The guy that runs the place is very friendly and helpful and the hostel is right in the middle of town.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Fantastic hostel. Honestly one of the best places I have stayed at. It is in a great location, right on the main street of Pecs. The staff is super friendly and helpful, (and they have great taste in music). The hostel feels more like an apartment, has a good kitchen, and is spotlessly clean. Really a wonderful place, I would recommend it to anyone.

Liked: These guys were super friendly, very helpful, even when 12 crazy girls enjoyed their hospitality :) . I really enjoyed my stay in this hostel as a gues/recepcionist/friend or whatever. Liked: This was one of my favourite hostels! Nikolaus (the owner) is so, so cool and friendly and helpful. The whole place is decorated with images of Pecs, done by Nikolaus himself. The kitchem is great - there's a whole stash of food that can be used (left behind by previous travellers) and free coffee and tea and spices and herbs. The place had a great atmosphere and I honestly wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else!
