This hostel had a great location, pretty much right near all of the sites of the city. It is a pretty close walk to parliament and other such sites. I would, however, reccomedns taying here with some friends. I stayed here by myself and it wasn't as much fun as it could have been because I was the only person in my 8 person dorm.

Excellent lockable cupboard comes with room key. Very clean bathroom and room.

The location is the best thing about this hostel. It is within 5 minutes walk to the bridge to cross to Buda, tram, metro, and market. The staff is either give or take. Either really helpful or not. I asked once to let me borrow their telephone to make a quick local call and they refused. Other friends who stayed at other hostels used their telephones wihtout a problem, and some hotels even have wireless internet. Very clean, with big locked storage for your luggage in the rooms also.

It is a good place to begin your journey, because it's very central. From here you can get a good feel of the city. The down part is that it's in the middle of the most touristy part of Budapest - everything is more expensive and less athmospheric.
