The room i was in was great, a loft, a double bunk bed and a single bed. The staff are very helpful and very friendly. Everything is is walking distance, the market is next door. The hostel is a very chilled out place..

We were transfered to another hostel owned by same people, but staff are amazing, free internet and close to everything. i have recommended the hostel to all my friends, as it is great value for money.

Staff really friendly and helpful, we were able to stay in a seperate apartment which was great for us, and it was in a great location - close to both town and the food market.

Staff were able to give detailed advice of how to get to places and "inside", unbiased info about what is best to visit. Staff were eager to help in all ways - even letting us watch a DVD! Hostel is located within a short distance of everything you need - transport, a quick snack and a baths! Thanks again.

I've stayed at many hostels while travelling through Europe, and this one was far and away the best. With its prime location in the heart of Pest, helpful staff, and excellent accomodations I can't think of a better place to stay in Budapest.

GReat friendly hostel. It felt more like being at home with family and friends than in a hostel with 20 other peole. Staff are fab.

This was one of the best hostels I have experienced, and I have been to MANY. It's a new place in Budapest, and it's really worth staying at! The location is fantastic - right in the center, near the river, near the big market, and the main pedestrian street in the city. The hostel is in an apartment in a great old building with high ceilings and wooden floors, and the owners have just fixed it up, so it all looks wonderful! The people who own and run Vamhaz are fabulously nice and really go out of their way to help the people staying there - if you have any questions during your stay in Budapest, they can probably answer them for you (they helped me a TON with my questions)! Excellent English spoken by all the folks who work there. In general, the atmosphere there is just really nice - it's comfortable, clean, relaxed, a bright, open space, friendly - feels more like crashing at a friend's place than staying at a hostel!

Everything!!! the staff were really friendly, always there to help. great location and facilities, and the building itself has a lot of character. would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Budapest.
