the staff was super nice. They were helpful and created an atmosphere that was both conducive to meeting people and comfortable for the lone traveler. I really enjoyed myself. I stayed over Christmas, so I wondered how that would be, and it was really great. I would recommend this place to anyone. It has a really cozy atmosphere...

The staff were so easy going, friendly and helpful. The other guests were very welcoming, and the communal lounge area was comfy, had lots of character it felt like home. It was a great place to relax, watch DVDs and socialise at the end of the day. Everything about this place was fantastic (staff, furnishings, cleanliness, the other guests, and the central location). Would recommend it to anyone

Dead set best hostel ive ever stayed in. Just fills all the criteria. Staff are awesome, every time you turn the TV on, they give you popcorn, they make you tea or coffee and there is no check out time! Easiest hostel ive stayed in to meet people as well!

The atmosphere was very inviting, friendly, and entirely social. I really had a great time here. Free internet which is always a plus. TV includes CNN which was the only channel in English but it is nice to keep in touch with all that is going on in the States. The staff and clientele that I encountered were wonderful. Some nearby bars make it a plus; you simply have to look for them. They have a mini-fridge and free snacks. Definitely worth visiting.

Such a warm homely atmosphere making it easy to socialise with fellow guests, so central to everything, free internet access, free cafe lattes each morning and throughout the day upon request... close to transport, great restaurants, FANTASTIC bars and clubs and the beautiful Danube. Budapest would not have been the same incredible experience that it was without Vamhaz being the amazing hostel that it is.

Very good location, awesome atmosphere..... Really great place to stay. Like it says, coffee IS MADE FOR YOU! Definitely recommend it.

The staff (Gabor) was really great : warm welcome, tips around the city,... and although we booked an ensuite, we got a wonderful little appartment, very well located, and very confortable.

I've stayed at dozens of hostels. This one is hands down the best. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and even chess. I walked in the door and was immediately offered coffee, suited to my taste. Thanks especially to Catherine.

The location is wonderful, the actual Hostel is great too (on the top floor of an old building with very spacious rooms) the staff was more than amazing, if you had a question they had an answer for you. oh and free internet, GREAT bathrooms...in all a wonderful experience! stay here! :)

I'm a RTW traveler. This hostel is the best I have stayed at. The staff was absolutely great - from taking the initiatves to show me the touristy sites on a map at check in, offering me coffee, making me feel at home, making inquiry call to the train station on my behalf (without my asking for it) and walking me to the door upon leaving.

I love that the staff make you coffee or tea in the morning. They have so many books to read about the location. They have movies that you can watch in your free time and even tv with news in english. THe staff are really helpful and it is in a great location for the city.The only thing that I recomend is maybe to bring an extra blanket if you get cold

everyone working there was SO friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautiful, the location was central, there was a great common room and i reallly felt at home! one of the best hostels i've stayed in! thank you!!!!
