 It was in a great location to see the city, the staff were wonderful, very helpful, and it was just a fun place to be. I liked it very much, and would recommend it right away to anyone travelling to Budapest.

It was awesome. Great location. Really nice staff. They help you find cool things to do in the city. Nice living room. Extremely clean.

The location was really good and the staff were very helpful with showing the main sights of the city. Its more of a chillout hostel, not really a party place

I loved the friendly relaxed atmosphere and the staff played a huge part in this. The fact that there were no bunk beds was a huge plus and the place oozed character and personality. It was clean, the bathrooms large and private and the whole place very spacious. Only downside for me was the stairs to get there!

Great location, atmosphere and staff. Free snacks,awesome coffee and great design. This place is true to it's rating, unlike one which is just round the corner!! Thanks Kaz and Olsi!!

staff were great, wonderful location, beds were comfortable, free internet... one word of warning though- it wasn't a problem for me but there's a lot of stairs, so DON'T come if you have a suitcase- you will have problems...

Staff were very friendly and helpfull, the location is great and close to everything, very clean. Breakfast was good and real coffee.

It was a nice cosy hostel where you could relax and it was so central to get around to see everything. Staff were great and easygoing, bathrooms were huge and clean, one of the best hostels I've stayed in.

THE LOCATION WAS SUPERB...IT'S BIG & CLEAN...NICE MINI BREAKFAST...WONDERFUL COFFEE WHENEVER YOU WANT IT....STAFF ALWAYS HELPFUL AND 24 HR. INTERNET IS GREAT.....THEY WERE UPFRONT THAT IT'S 4 FLIGHTS UP , WHICH I DISLIKED...BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS SO GOOD THAT IT MADE UP FOR IT....ALSO THEY WILL DO YOUR LAUNDRY WHICH IS HELPFUL....WE HAD A DOUBLE ROOM AND IT HAD HIGH CEILINGS ..AND A FIRM MATRESS...WE FELT VERY LUCKY AND WOULD COME BACK...

Honest, helpful, straightforward and caring staff. The owner Xavier is a great person. If you are deprived of family, you will find one at Vamhaz in Budapest. Don't forget to visit the wonderful baths around the city. Cheers!

The staff are the best, so friendly and ready to make coffee for anyone at any time. This hostel is easily the best I have stayed in Europe.

Very cool atmosphere and the staff is fabulous. Xavier will sit down with you when you arrive and point out all the good places to visit and eat and drink around the city. They are very helpful and polite and so nice that he tried to bring us coffee in bed. Free internet and TV, and they have a continental-like breakfast in the morning. It is quite a hike up the stairs to get there so I wouldn't recommend it if you have tons of bags, but its got a really cool vibe and bohemian theme and it feels very homey.

Although the hostel was small and on the third floor, the atmosphere was so great and the coffee very good!! The location was nearly perfect!

I really liked there, i lived there for 3 nights at new year and it was really good the staff were great they were so friendly and helpfull on the other side the hostels place is in the center of city thanks for everything when i come to the budapest again my first choice will be Vamhaz Hostel!!

The spirit here is fantastic - staff do a great job of creating a fantastic, relaxed, comfortable environment to hang out in. A great space to live in, great food and kitchen, best hostel I've stayed in, hands down. Came for 2 nights and staying for a week...
