Liked: Staying in the Vintage Suite was incredible. We were so happy with our room as it was huge and so hungarian...We felt like locals for our 4 night stay and we didn't want to leave. It had a great vibe to it and was very peaceful. I love the way the hostel was decorated and if anyone is up for peace and tranquility then stay here as it is very quiet but so beautiful. We would stay there again in a flash! Just lovely..:)

Liked: Pretty sweet little hippy joint. They play good music and everyone seemed really friendly. There is very little privacy at all here but you cannot beat the price!

Liked: I am from Asia. It was my very first time to Budapest, and the trip was like a sudden decision so that I came without any preparation or expectation, but the staff in Mandala helped me so much with my short stay there, from pointing out a sightseeing route in the city map, to explaining every interesting site to me, Fori was like a warm angle that removed all my worries about my unprepared trip. Thank you, Fori, I enjoyed my short stay in Mandala, and hope one day I will be back again!

Liked: A really really great hostel! Beautifully decorated, nice beds and a good atmosphere for hanging out and relaxing. Also had a great location near good cafes and bars/restaurants.

Liked: I have stayed in hostels across Europe and have been back to this one many times, it almost feels like i never leave. Which is one of its great qualities, very homely and comforting, a perfect place to relax, with a very tailored atmosphere and unique design to esnure a peaceful stay. While its a great place to relax abd you can find a quite corner for yourself, it also has space to socialise and has an interesting mix of people. Its not a party hostel, but can easily find people to party with. Its always kept immaculately clean, hot water is always available and internet fast and reliable. The couple running it are very freindly and helpfulm without being pushy and create a real family atmosphere amongst guests. The location is ideal, its only 10 minutes walk from the centre, but the district around it is alos a bit of a gem, with plenty of cheap but intereting bars and restaurants and and attractiev squares. to be honest it would be a bit of a waste of a trip to Budapest if you dont stay at Mandala!

Liked: Very cosy atmosphere. The apartment ist incredibly cool- I would like to live there permanantely!!The recommendations from the staff regarding places to go out and so on were perfect.It is really a warm and relaxing place!

Liked: Few hostels make you feel truly welcome when you arrive at their doorstep, Mandala Hostel exceeded my expectations. It really does feel as if you are visiting some fond place in your memory. The hosts are open and are more than willing to help, to inform or just to chat. The hostel seems like a crossroad for interesting and engaging people, besides a fun night out in the city (which is amazing in itself) a night (or day if you want) at the hostel can be just as fun and interesting. The hostel generates a relaxed peaceful ambience; incense is burned, and in the morning, soft music plays. Budapest is an exciting and busy city and the hostel plays an awesome role in refreshing you for another night or day out. It is an easy place to romanticize, I can definitely recommend it.

Liked: Mandala Hostel is amazing... Nick & Furi go out of their way to make you feel at home and to welcome you both into budapest & their hostel. They are fantastic and kind people and I highly recommend everyone to stay here... dont stay anywhere else!!!. The rooms are great, beds super comfortable and everything is clean and well looked after. Thanks guys for a great time and for looking after me when i missed my train!!

Liked: Dreaming atmosphere, warm colours, nice and friendly staff! You can come in Mandala without any information about Budapest and they will literally overwhelm you with any sort of information starting with bike tours around Budapest, ending with the coolest clubs in town. Mandala hostel will let you enjoy Budapest from the traveller point of view, not the tourist one!

Liked: Mandala Hostel was a great place to rest while in Budapest. It felt much more like a friends home than a hostel- complete with slippers by the door, comfy couches in the rooms and hot water in the kettle. I hardly felt like I was traveling! The staff were lovely to talk with and very helpful, and also very mellow, which is comforting, I think. I would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Staying here was like staying with a family in Budapest. I felt like a guest in someone's home, one that could do what I pleased, and use the full kitchen and computer whenever I liked. The staff was very friendly, and super helpful! They gave us wonderful advice on how to make the most of our very short stay, and told us about some great spots that we never would have found without a local. A perfect place to get some rest!
