Liked: The Mandala Hostel is a great place to stay in Budapest! It is so cosy and you feel homely from the first moment. From the hostel you can reach all main sight-seeing-points of the city by walk.The staff is very friendly and helps you with every problem!! They showed me on a map an impressive trip with the most beatiful places in town. Next time I am in Budapest, I will definitvely stay again in Mandala Hostel!!!

Liked: This is a very charming, friendly hostel, I can only recommend this place to everybody.The staff is cool and welcoming.

Liked: relaxed place with only a few rules, andd yet very everyone behaved within reason and with care and consideration for his or her fellow travelers.The staff has great commitment towards engaging in conversation with the visitors, and they are very friendly and helpful when it commes to guiding you on your travels arround the city.

Disliked: The hostel only has two receptionists, and as they are a couple, you can at sometimes find the hostel completely without management to consult in case of a quiry or doubt concerning the stay.

Liked: It was best hostel I have been in Europe.I speak english not well, but Nicolus and Fusi really care about me. (Sorry I don't know exact spell TT_TT;)It was like family.I want say many things...but my english is not well as that muchI just want to say is "It's really cheap, kind, good place"!

Liked: Definitely the best hostel I have stayed in so far! The atmosphere was very laid-back and homely and the staff so friendly and hospitable that it really does feel like your home away from home. Recommended to all travelers who dislike the big, sterile and colorless hostels and are looking for a place with some real character.

Liked: Great hostel, great location, great everything! the dorm room itself was awesome, like no other dorm room we have stayed in you have to see it for yourself! very clean and staff were really friendly! would def stay there again for sure!!!

Liked: A very nice and friendly place on a good location.Good atmosphere,friendly and helpful stuff,who are always there when you need them.Nice comfortable beds,clean bathrooms,so from now on whenever I may visit Budapest hostel searching won't take any of my time,cause I just know the best place to stay.Mandala!

Liked: Really nice place, different from any other hostel I have been to. I loved the staff Furi and Nick. They were ready to help me with anything at anytime :) They surprised me with a super delicious iced coffee just when I arrived! I had a good time with them and the guests. Hope to come back soon!

Liked: That was avesome! The staff was pretty cool and helpful! The whole hostel was more than homie, and has a cool interior design. The city was beautiful too. The hostel was clean and it's really in the center. Cool people are stayed there, I met a lot of interesting people all around the world. We was at a concert invited by the hostel owners and they gave me a map and showed all the interesting and beautiful things at the city. I just tell everybody: this is one of the best hostel I have ever stayed.

Liked: Very nice couple which offer the vintage room. They gave us a welcome drink and when we left, another drink for goodbye. Also good location, and the room was excellent.

Liked: The Mandala Hostel has a nice atmosphere and feels more like staying in a welcoming home than a hostel. If you appreciate good interior design it is very quirky and interesting.

Liked: Great Hostel, we stayed here 6 nights and met a lot of really nice people. Very friendly and relaxed hostel. Best by far in 3 weeks of traveling Eastern Europe. Place was spotless, really well cleaned every day. In a great location for the city in a really nice area.Good kitchen facility if you want to cook for yourself. Home away from home! Stay here!

Liked: Its a very nice place although i did feel the staff were a little unwilling to help at times. Plus there are 3 people basically living there and one is very unfriendly. He plays poker on his laptop all day and night which is rather disturbing when trying to sleep.

Liked: Awesome awesome place. Down to earth staff that was very helpful in getting us oriented with the layout and sights to see in Budapest. It felt very much like a home with hip decorations, a take-a-book-leave-a-book cupboard, free internet access and wonderful bathroom facilities. I've been to more than 30 hostels in my life and this was my favorite.

Liked: Absolutely fantastic hostel.I spent 3 weeks travelling around europe, using only hostels, and this one was easily my favourite. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, the hostel had a great relaxing and friendly atmosphere, our beds were really comfortable. There was a guitar lying around the the common area, and free board games. That with free internet, a kitchen, a great shower, and amazing value for money made this the best hostel I've been to!

Liked: A beautiful place, you feel like staying at somebody's home! Somebody who really loves indian culture that is. We walked to all major sites from here, nice cafés are just around the corner (Try the lovely and homey Café Csiga at Rákóczi tér!)

Liked: Very, very, very laid back and easy going hostel. It almost feels as if you are staying at a friend's house. However, I found that the owners were either always asleep, or not there at all. This didn't bother me, but if it doesn't sound like something you'd like, then I suggest you pick another hostel. But, if you are a self-described hippie - then this is the place for you.
