Customer reviewFriendly helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere, this place feels like a home from home. The only drawback for me was that the private double room is located off the kitchen/dining area and you can hear absolutely everything... so even though people are not being particularly noisy, it is difficult to sleep before everyone else does... or sleep in past the 8am breakfast time. Other than that it was great, thanks |

Customer reviewLovely hostel! The rooms are decorated in a personal style and it feels more like staying over at someone's house rather than a hostel. Free internet, lots of information about Budapest, kitchen, really friendly & helpful staff! I had the impression that each bed had curtains/screens, which isn't the case - the rooms are separated into sections with a few beds in each. |

Joshua SundbyI loved the chill, layed back atmosphere and the overall relaxing feeling i got when i stayed at the mandragora. the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and very fun to be around. the rooms were clean and the people were quiet at night. they had an amazing kitchen and a great movie selection. I might have fallen in love with an employee named Viola. She was not only originally beautiful but she was one of the sweetest, and kindest people i had met. She was friendly and so helpful. She was absolutely incredible. I am definitely going to recommend this hostel to anyone and everyone who is going to budapest. And I will obviously stay here if i ever return. thank you. josh |

Jose Miguel LiboroDefinitely one of the best hostels Ive stayed at. The design of the place was very fresh and the accommodations were comfortable. You had a kitchen area, TV with DVDs and a lounge area as well. Not exactly a party hostel but a place to unwind and exchange stories with other travelers. Its located very near to a tram station so its easy to find and very accessible. Also, it had the best included breakfast Ive ever had in a hostel. Usually you just get the usual of bread with some jam and stuff, but they also served us eggs and sausage as well! The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. In fact, they even went out of their way to help me when I forgot an item of mine there and was unable to pick it up, they mailed it to me. Definitely stay at this hostel. Thanks for a wonderful stay Martin and Viola! |

Jennifer LittlerThe hostel is gorgeous and has a fabulous unique character. The staff are friendly and helpful, plus you get breakfast, tea and coffee, a range of books and dvds and free internet access. Highyly recommend for anyone travelling to Budapest! The metro is so close, but everything of interest is easily walkable :) |

Ryan DaltonThe hostel is just as visually appealing as it appears in the hostelbookers feature online. The hostel was very home-like -- very comfortable, very welcoming, and very personalized. |
