Liked: Very cool hostel--friendly, relaxed atmosphere, not a typical party hostel, but plenty of interesting people hanging out and going out each night. Staff were great; they advised me on where to eat, what to see, and how to do so. I liked it so much, I actually ended up staying several more nights than I was expecting, and even though the hostel was very busy, they were able to accommodate me. Bike rental from the hostel is very convenient, and when I was running late for the caving tour (awesome experience if you're looking for an unconventional tourist activity) they even called to let them know I was on my way. Mandala hostel is great for those looking for a comfortable, cool place to stay in Budapest.

Liked: It was a really relaxed atmosphere and looked really nice.

Disliked: It was part of an apartment complex, so at night you had to be really quite when entering the building.

Liked: Great hosts, beautiful rooms, best place to relax and feel like at home. Nice surrounding area with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants.

Liked: The people working at the hostel were some of the best I have met on my whole trip, which made it the best hostel experience I had on my whole 2 month European trip. The whole zen thing was also pretty relaxing, especially since I was pretty tired from traveling and needed a place that would calm and heal my tormented body and soul a bit...

Liked: It was my first time to stay at hostel in my life time so I was a bit worried about the fact that I should stay with other strangers. However, Mandala hostel was quite and awesome place to take rest without any interuption after a long day. The staffs were so friendly and gave bunch of information for travel around, such as best places to visit, to eat, to see so on. They even lent me travel guide books to refer to. People staying there also take care of others so I really enjoyed the peaceful time there. Nice place to make friends as well. You can use internet with a computer there and Wi-Fi is available without additional cost as well. Facilities are all well equiped and clean. I'd like to highly recommend this hostel to everyone. You will never regret!!

Liked: The people were REALLY friendly and gave us great advice about how to make the best of our time in the city. It was definitely worth it.

Disliked: All the guests share one shower, but there are only about 10 guests so it's okay.

Liked: Really unique atmosphere and decor. Spacious rooms in quiet neighborhood. Perfect place to chill and sightsee.

Liked: The hostel is located right in the city center, it has a unique decoration and character, the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Stairs to hanging balconies are squeaky!

Liked: I loved the laid-back and homelike atmosphere, the place felt more like a commune than a hostel. The services filled all my needs and the staff was so helpful that I didn't need to worry about a thing. Wonderful decoration!

Disliked: It was slightly noisy at night/early morning (not sure if the noise came from inside the hostel or another apartment), so getting sleep was difficult.

Liked: The staff we friendly and helpful, always with good recommendations. They went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay, they even took us to some cool places that were hard to find. This small hostel has very homey quality, so you feel more like a guest in someone's house rather than just an other customer.

Disliked: Nothing, I had such an awesome time there!

Liked: It was a cosy, welcoming and warm hostel to stay in. The atmosphere was friendly and the hostel itself was well deocrated to give a homelike feel. The beds were comfortable, I felt safe and the staff were fantasticly friendly and helpful. Great bunch of people!

Disliked: It was a bit small, and there was no area available for people to relax in apart from the small kitchen. If there was somewhere you could go to watch t.v or eat dinner it would be a fantastic place to stay overall! It was a bit tricky to find, perhaps a bigger sign? Apart from this great!

Liked: i loved the loft style of the rooms which provided for more personal space eliminating the stereotypical room with bunk beds. The bathrooms were nice and big and everything was very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and the location was perfect.

Disliked: The common rooms were in the same rooms as the beds, so there was not much space to get away. Everyone ended up chilling in the kitchen most of the time, which did make it feel homey.

Liked: wow! We've been traveling around europe forever, and this is far and away the most fun hostel with the best sense of community that we have stayed in! The first night, the hostel owners took us out to hear traditional hungarian music, there was always something fun going on, and the volunteers staying there were just wonderful. STAY AT THIS HOSTEL!

Disliked: that we couldn't stay longer :D

Liked: It's really easy to get to. The staff is super nice. The place is lively. It's in a good spot to get to get to the other parts of town, can jump right on the 4 and 6.
