Liked: Zen place, nice people and very quiet hostel

Liked: very helpful and friendly staff who are knowledgeable about budapest and sights to see

Disliked: the shower was a hand-held one, which i hate and i didn't get a proper pillow. there was also no towel provided, as is advertised.

Liked: everything is true: homy, friendly and the like. i feel very greatful for such a nice stay in Budapest and definately i'll stay there again in a year after O.Z.O.R.A. 2012! BOM SHANKAR )

Liked: I liked that this hostel was a bit different, the layout is really nice, and it has a laid back atmosphere.

Disliked: There isnt really any where to socilize or speak to people.

Liked: Very good hostel. Actually doesn't feel like a hostel at all. It is designed so you just feel very relaxed and at home. Book this hostel!

Liked: Really friendly hostel, amazing host who knew lots about the city, felt like an appartment rather than a hostel. Great location - we could walk to clubs and bars and was very close to public transport too. we met loads of fun and interesting people there and everything was clean and comfortable. there were also free cookies and free access to a great dvd collection, which could be watched on the tv in the kitchen. we had a brilliant time there and would definitely recommend it.

Liked: The atmosphere was the perfect compliment to our Budapest experience. Very friendly and welcoming. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in.

Liked: Huge private room, high ceiling, a bit od fashionned furniture but with character, many plants,very lovely people, nice bathroom

Liked: This hostel is very good for young people traveling alone and wanting to meet other young travellers. Someone made a small hostel out of his apartment, staying there is like being at home in a big family. The staff was very kind, the place was clean, everybody had to take his or her shoes off right at the door :). There is internet access 24 hours a day.

Disliked: In the dormitory the lights were on until 1 am and people were talking and listening to music. Unfortunately there is a bar across the street and taxis and people make a lot of noise Friday night.

Liked: Has that family/friends house feel. Laid back staff. Not ones of those hostels out to get every cent from you. Good location.

Disliked: Ones of those take your shoes off at the door places, which some how always seem to be the best hostels. Not a party hostel, but people there know where to go to party.

Liked: the staffs was great, very helpful, its clean all the time, the location is walking distance to all the attractions. I booked for only 3 days but ended up staying for 6. Definately good value for money.

Liked: sociable, fun decor, different to the average hostel, good local knowledge.

Disliked: Good place if you're staying in Budapest for a while, but not really just for one night. Main communal area is also sleeping area and so little chance for privacy.

Liked: Having stayed at many other hostels both party and chilled out hostels, its all about what you are after. Mandala is a chilled out hostel like a little communion, with the beds set out in a apartment in one big room. The staff are very helpful with knowledge on everything, sites, transport, restaurants, bars etc. There are beer garden and some bars in the street it is located. Met some awesome people here which makes a difference. 2 minute walk from a tram stop too, so its very hard to get lost!

Disliked: Again, what you are after. If its boozy - all night drinking out and all, probably not the place. Since its a little on the small side, there is not really a set socialising area, but there is the kitchen/check in area, and some couches in the sleeping area.

Liked: Everything...especially the atmosphere and the staff!! We felt right at home among people whom we felt as though wanted us to be there. They were truly interested about us, our travels, and our experience in Budapest. We were fortunate enough to really get to know the people of the hostel and our fellow guests. We had a wonderful experience and could not say anything but nice things.

Disliked: Because we stayed in a private room nextdoor there was no internet acess which was somewhat annoying, however it did not deter from our amazing time!
