Liked: Fantastic location, great rooms and super clean. Alex the owner was brilliant. He organised taxi transfers to and from the airport at a great rate, took us to some bars in Budapest, cooked dinners for us, and provided great ideas of what to do in Budapest. Was an awesome place to stay, absolutely recommend to anyone!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Great atmosphere. Really helpful, friendly, generous staff. Wonderful breakfast and help-yourself kind of kitchen. Comfortable rooms. We stayed four more nights than we planned, because it was that good!

Liked: The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable. Alex was an amazing host. He helped me find a hospital and translated for me when I needed help. We all ate together a few times and it was great. I definitely recommend this hostel.

Liked: Nicest hostel where I have ever been, we met so many interesting people from all over the world! Everything is clean and we felt really comfortable - like in a living room.

Liked: Alex is the best owner you can expect!He is the true local who knows pretty much everything about the city,and surely he knows what a traveller really need! The location is so good that the chain bridge and other sight are just blocks away,shops and cafes nearby,metro stop is 2mins walk, the best food of the city can be found in 5mins walking in the Oktober 6 street!Highly recommend! Alex and other travellers will make you feel like at home!

Liked: This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in! It´s perfect - everything is very clean, comfortable, modern and it really feels like home. Alex - the owner is the best host, he´s incredibly helpful, friendly and he makes sure that you get the best experience from Budapest. The hostel is in great location and I would deffinetely recomended it to everyone. It´s just perfect!

Liked: The property was in a great location near the metro. The hostel itself was nice and the host was very accommodating. There were basic breakfast options in the morning, though it was hard to determine what on the table was for anyone to have since nothing was said of what to expect. Normally at other hostels they would tell you in advance that whatever is on the table is for the guests to use. Also, the owner would make dinner for everyone, which was nice.

Disliked: Although the owner was really nice, there were times when it felt like he was too pushy and in your face. I guess there is a fine line between someone wanting to help you to be kind and then another matter would be to have someone invade your personal space and private business. There were times when I felt the owner should have stepped back and not gotten too involved. It made my stay here a bit awkward.

Liked: The hostel was in a good location that is close to metro station and a good starting point to walk to all of the sites. Alex (owner) made you feel like you were coming to a home and not just a hostel. The place was clean and had a great kitchen. I will for sure be staying here on my next trip to Budapest.

Liked: Alex who rus the hostel. Went out of his way many times to get things sorted for me. Not only are you staying at an amazing hostel but you are staying with a very powerful resource to help you get the most out of your stay. The experience is like staying at a friends house breakfast was amazing and simple home made hungerian salami which I wish I could have brought home and it's free

Disliked: bfree fast didn't contain cavier nor was it served to me in bed....

Liked: We were a group of 15 people from Sweden and It was like coming home as it is a small but homely place. The host was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay there.

Disliked: The rooms are not so good isolated so you can evrything from the next room

Liked: The host was very kind and very helpfull.the building was very good situated in vecinity to all the important places in budapest.

Liked: The building is beautiful - constructed by the same artist as the Opera House. The hostel itself is very modern and clean. The location was also incredible as it was located not even 5 minutes walk away from the major metro station (Deak Tere). Alex, the owner, is also an incredibly nice guy. He was always willing to help and will even cook you Hungarian food! Without a doubt, I will stay here again during future adventures to Budapest.

Disliked: Experience was splendid - nothing negative to say.

Liked: The place is awesome, there's no other hostel like it that I've encountered in my traveling. Its more like a house, its very comfortable and you feel like you're hanging in the living room with family. The atmosphere really compliments the experience, as there are more than enough bathrooms, a kitchen and Alex, is the best hostel host I've met, who makes everyone really feel at home. He takes everyone out every night and somehow manages to keep the place spotlessly clean every day! Definitely would recommend this hostel to anyone in their right mind.

Liked: It was a warm welcome in the hostel. The owner is very kind and is willing to help. Location is good, close to the center. Quiet surroundings. Hostel is clean. There is a good atmosphere; nice to sit in the kitchen and living room and meet other people. We enjoyed eating together the first evening. Budapest is a nice and beautiful city and this hostel is good place to stay.

Liked: Definitely one the friendliest hostels I've stayed at. It feels more like staying at a friend's apartment than in a hostel. Alex will immediately make you feel at home. He regularly cooks a free dinner for all the guests which is a good way to know the other persons staying there, especially if a few of you give a hand peeling the potatoes or chopping the onions. He will also probably bring the whole group to a ruin pub afterward.

Liked: It is a home away from home! Alex is the BEST host. He is always around for a chat, super helpful, friendly, funny, he goes above and beyond! He even cooked us all dinner, and took us out for night! Its all small hostel so we all got to know each other easily and became like one big family. The centrum hostel is unique, clean, safe, secure, well equipped, friendly, well located, homely, amazing value for money and a whole lot of fun! Do yourself a favour and STAY HERE... You won't regret it... In fact you'll probably want to extend your stay. Thanks Alex!

Liked: Budapest Centrum was a very welcoming place with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The hostel is an apartment, so the shared spaces (kitchen and lounge room) are very comfortable and treated in a respectful way. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. Free tea and coffee (actually REAL coffee) and the owner often cooked dinner. I intended to stay 2 days and ended up staying 5 days!

Disliked: As others have said, the exterior is a little disheartening and its difficult to actually figure out how to get in, but once you're there, it's great!
