Balassi Guesthouse is situated on Gellert Hill, in the most beautiful green area of Budapest, only 2 kilometers away from the city center and the Castle District.

Balassi Guesthouse is situated on Gellert Hill, in the most beautiful green area of Budapest, only 2 kilometers away from the city center and the Castle District. There are 58 rooms: 24 doubles, 29 triples, and 5 with more beds (youth hostel type); all rooms have bathrooms. The rooms provide an amazing view of the Castle District and the hills of Buda.

Pets are welcome.
Open-air parking is available in front of the hotel - free of charge. Closed parking on the yard costs 5 Euro/car/day.


The guesthouse is only open from the 1st of July until the 1st of September.

The rooms have to be paid for in advance, upon arrival. Payment with credit card is not accepted.

Accommodation Information

The hostel has double rooms, triple rooms and some rooms with more beds. All rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, simple furniture and have a separate bathroom. The rooms provide an amazing view of the Castle District and the hills of Buda.

Location Information

All the highlights of Budapest can be easily reached from Balassi Gellert-Hill Guesthouse; the most famous tourist sights are only a walk away (the Fortress on Gellert Hill, the Royal Palace on Castle Hill, the City Center with the pedestrian street Vaci utca, etc.) and access to the public transport system is excellent as well (the bus stop is only a short walk away from the building and there is a night line that can take you home at any time).
