Liked: Good Hostel! I can recommend this to anyone! Very friendly, helpful staff, safe, individual lockers, clean. No breakfast, but drinking coffee and tea is free. The staff can recommend you the best spots, monuments , parties. Easy to have a good conversation with anyone or to have fun together with the other guest, coz the hostel is familiar.

Disliked: A bit hard to find, but not dislikes!!!

Liked: we used a private room. the space is definitely enough for two people and the price is also reasonable. Friendly owner and atmosphere. both of us are satisfied!! if i have a chance to go again, i will stay at this place.

Disliked: none! a little bit hard to find??

Liked: Nice location.

Disliked: No parking for guests. The room was very loud and quite hot at night due to traffic. Not very comfortable and loud beds.

Liked: free internet, tea and coffee, close to metro and tram

Disliked: There were about 30-40 guests staying..and there are 2 toilets for all of them = neverending queue at any time of the day..they had a sign saying: we clean between 11 and something..i think around 4 so don't be in the hostel. weird... the girl at the reception when we arrived didnt speak any english and she kept us waiting while she was on the phone talking to somebody and laughing to tell us the bed is free at 12...which she wrote down on a paper.

Liked: Not a bad location. Was really close to a lot of bars and restaurants but the hostel also had a good kitchen which was good!

Disliked: The beds were really creaky which made it impossible to sleep! Also, there was only two bathrooms for about 25 people which meant you had to queue in the morning which was ridiculous!

Liked: Location near the center market I like it. Night time I can walk a long the Danube River it's really good location here even in August it's very hot for me.

Liked: The staff is friendly and the place is well-located. overall a good place, but...

Disliked: BED BUGS! I got eaten alive and left the hostel looking like I had leprosy. After showing the girl on duty a bug on one of the pillows, she just moved me to another room and didn't offer a partial refund or anything. Quite frankly, bed bugs are a hostel's kiss-of-death; it trumps any good qualities the hostel may have. Couldn't possibly recommend or stay again.

Liked: It was like being at home. Everyone gathered around sofas and films in the living room, barocco had a clean and well facilitated kitchen, two nice bathrooms- even a bath. And the staff were 24/hr and really enthusiastic to help you enjoy your stay. Athena was particularly great.

Disliked: THERE IS NO SIGN. We spent a good couple of hours walking up and down the street it was on. Turns out its a building that looks like a normal block of flats and you have to buzz up number 5 or something; this needs to be made clearer. That was literally the only bad thing about it.

Liked: It was in a good location and was cheap. It was also a very relaxed hostel, and we didn't have to leave for lock out at 11am - 3pm like it suggested

Disliked: Receptionist didn't speak any English when we got there, not enough bathrooms and the water temperature in the only shower was a bit wild, alternating between burning hot and freezing cold...

Liked: Hostel is very close to the Danube and centre of city. The place is an informal and cozy one and very good to meet fellow travellers

Disliked: One of the receptionists did not speak more than few words of English and could not basic maths. She even charged us 1000 flotys more (because of math difficulty we assume). The other receptionists were much better.

Liked: the staff were so friendly and helpful, very engaging. the whole place was like a share house rather than a hostel, it was so easy to meet other travellers, hang out and relax. plus the markets are so close, and there is quite a bit to see and do all within walking distance.

Disliked: toilets are in the bathrooms, of which there are only 2. when the hostel is full, and you need to go to the toilet, you have to hold it in!

Liked: We met a few really nice people during our stay here.

Disliked: My boyfriend and I stayed in a 4 bed dorm, we had to walk through a 12 bed dorm to get to our room. When we asked reception where to find food near by, they didn't understand any English! I was not impressed that we didnt have a key to our locker- and that the only key that reception held opened all lockers in the hostel. I also got BegBugs during my stay and have been in extreme pain and discomfort since. A drunk girl urinated on our locker.

Liked: The staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is fine too. The hostel is very well located, just outside the main tourist area, easily accessible by foot. The beds are nice and comfortable. The sheets and the towels are clean and in sufficient supply. Free WiFi is a big plus for the hostel. Self-catering facilities are complete and operational: a refrigerator with a freezer, a gas cooker, a microwave oven. I think that the washing machine can be used too. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided free of charge.

Disliked: The bathrooms are bottlenecks. There are two of them. The regular one, that existed in the flat before it was converted into a hostel, and the second(ary) one, obtained by installing a shower cabin in the visitors' toilet. Unless the owners apply the naturist camp shower policy (provided the guests are open-minded enough to adopt it), there is way too little bathroom capacity for more than 20 people. Besides, the bathrooms (and the kitchen too) could and should be cleaner. The shower cabin does not drain well and the floors are dirty. The big bathroom should also have some kind of a shield around the (full size) bath, to prevent splashing when people take a shower. The floors are less than clean in the rooms, in the kitchen and in the lounge, possibly because the guests do not take their shoes off on entering the premises. The staff should do something against the mosquitoes. I know that mosquitoes are frequent in low-lying areas but efficient and cheap solutions do exist against them.
