Liked: It was very centrally located and was right near the Metro 2 line station.

Disliked: There were only two individual bathrooms for the hostel. So if two people were showering, you might have to wait 15 minutes to use the restroom. The breakfast was okay, but I've had better at other hostels for the same price per night.

Liked: good location and free net and the staff know the area well

Disliked: good people stayed there but at 10pm you get asked to leave or stop drinking and be quiet which is a little uptight

Liked: The property is right in the centre of Budapest and is next to a metro station so it is easy to travel around the city. The communal kitchen was clean and tidy as was the eating/lounge area. There was a reasonable choice for breakfast (which is included in the price when staying in dorms). The staff were very friendly and gave us a great map with lots of recommendations already highlighted on it. Despite staying in a dorm room and being on a main road noise levels were never a problem :)

Disliked: The lounge area wasnt amazing and I experienced little socialising between groups of travellers.

Liked: Admirably convenient, Astoria City hostel is the most friendly hostel i know in Budapest.Ponni on weekend, Oliver and colleagues in the week made a very pleasant and sympathetic welcome.All services, internet, wifi in the rooms, very clean kitchen.Many stores, banks, changers of money with a good rate, close to Astoria.A lot of transports, metro, bus (attention! many controls of tickets in the bus on sunday) to go to Buda and other places in BP.Have a good trip in Budapest grace to Astoria City hostel.

Disliked: Just a few oil in the hinge of doors, even olive oil could do it.

Liked: Right in the center: very close to everything. Very helpful staff, good beds. For the first time I had earplugs with me, and it really helps if someone's snorings keeps you awake!

Liked: feel like home!! nice place, not too big just the perfect size to get to meet new people!!

Disliked: well i went out season, beginning of october, so very quiet, but i guess it would have been like this somewhere else!

Liked: Nice and cozy, really nice staff and a nice little atmosphere,it is small but that makes is great to chat to people. Has a strange entrance is a little lift but its good fun once you are used to it, it is hard to find but in a great location right next to the underground stop it just isnt clearly signed or anything so u just have to look out for it its literally right in the corner just up from the subway once u know where it is it is great and close to everything!

Liked: We had a private room which is in a flat in the same building, everything was clean and bright and the kitchen was well equipped. It is right above Astoria metro station, which means you can get anywhere in Budapest very quickly, it's on the same line as Keleti and Deli stations. It's also within 5 minutes walk of cash machines, a post office and... most importantly Tesco (!). They have double glazing but it can be a little noisy on the road side, so maybe earplugs are a good idea. All in all a great place if you want to explore Budapest.
