Liked: Room was spacious and warm, bathroom facilities were good, location reasonably central.

Disliked: Building with rooms is located several blocks from staff, and no contact or assistance number was given, nor was any instruction for the wireless given. It's difficult to check out during non-business hours without forfeiting your key deposit. Rooms are located in residential building amidst apartments; did not feel very safe, despite the locked doors.

Liked: *new ikea furniture

Disliked: *not recommended for couples that just want to stay overnight! *our room was in another building, ten min walk (with all your luggage) *so 2 different buildings (one to check-in /-out and one to sleep), 2 times 4 floors stairs (elevator not in use) *4 different doors to open with a different key (very safe, but takes you another 10min just to get to your room) *we had to make up our own bed (2 single bed sheets) *shared bathroom and toilet (not very clean) *there is a kitchen but bring everything yourself (no tea, coffee or other available)

Liked: the stuff was very friendly, location was good and the rooms were clean. there is a kitchen were you can cook and free internet facilities.

Liked: The staff were friendly. Linen and towels were provided. Wireless internet was a plus as we could surf on our mobile phones. The location is good, situated very close to a metro stop (it's 1 stop away from the main interchange Deak Ference ter where you can switch to other lines), making travelling relatively convenient.

Disliked: the building itself is quite old and quiet. I wouldn't recommend for single female travellers. We were staying at another level not where the main reception was and this tend to be abit neglected. The kitchen was also not well-equipped.

Liked: There was a big group staying in the hostel and they used beds what wasn't theirs, so Laci the receptionist didn't know which beds are free. And he put me into a four bed private room in the apartment below. It was so great. It was a pleasant experience for me. I truly enjoyed my stay. I can only recommend this hostel.

Liked: Nice, spacious hostel in the heart of the city. With view of a beautiful private garden. The guys at reception are extremely friendly and helpful. I can only recommend the place. I will definitely return.

Liked: The location was very good. Beds were comfy, staff was friendly. Free towels and breakie. We were the only ones in the hostel so it was fantastic value.

Disliked: Nothing to do with hostel but roadworks are being done on the main street and the front of the building.

Liked: I loved our stay at Astoria City Hostel. The guy at the front desk was SOOO nice and helpful! We had reserved the dorm for 5 people, but when we got there we were moved to another building and put in two separate private rooms with no change in price. The rooms were nice, quiet, and the breakfast was pretty good as hostel breakfasts go. I would HIGHLY recommend this hostel to anyone and would stay there again.

Liked: The location and nice privat rooms.

Disliked: It would be nice to have computers att both location. The building with shared rooms had computers but the other building with privat rooms didn't have computers so you had to walk a few blocks to use the computers att the main building.
