I booked a private room and it was the best room that i stayed in my trip to europe. I went to 8 cities in france, italy, holand, and me and my wife rated the room from astoria as the best. The building is kind of dirty, but when you enter in the hostel area, things change. However, the private rooms are not in the hostel building. So i can´t tell about the hostel itself. The building of the privates is about a block from it, and it´s located in large avenue. So it´s a little bit noisy. But it´s the biggest room i stayed, big bed, with the best shower (out of the room). And the price is good. So is really worthy. And it´s walking distance from all the places you need to see.

I loved getting my own room, having a clean and quiet kitchen, and being located between the train station and the main sights of the city.

The location is really great. I stayed in the double rooms, which are in a separate apartment building and they were a really pleasant surprise. The main building is a bit dark and old fashioned but the private rooms were all brand new, I had a really nice room, simple but modern, bright, really clean. The shared kitchen and shower rooms were really nice too. The free wireless was really great (although its only available in main hostel building). I was a single female but I always felt safe. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

very homey, feels like you are staying in a friends apt, (good thing!)free internet is wonderful however the breakfast is a bit of a joke.

Location was excellant for walking anywere at ease. Well set out.Clean and kept tidy.Very friendly staff always on hand to give advice and say were the best places are to go and how to get there. It was my first time in a hostel and wont be the last thank you .

The rooms, bathrooms, and full sized kitchen were definitely much nicer than any hostel I have stayed at before!

It was set up great, The rooms were all centered around the main room so you really got a chance to meet and talk with other people. It was very clean and very well situated, I would definitely stay there again.
