Liked: If there was a better than excellent category for the staff I would give it. Seriously this place is fantastic. The staff are wonderful, the location is spot on and the accommodation is great. Clean sheets and a towel. It really is a great place to stay and really easy to meet other travellers. Don't even think twice... stay here!!

Liked: This is a one of the best hostel I have ever stayed. Staff are everybody so kind. We can mutually talk about the culture and the background of each country in this cozy hostel. I could stay by relaxing. Thank you so much !! And see you next time

Liked: Everything was very old and nice and the hostel had a clean style and just seemed very clean. The location was good, because it was very close to the center,however some monuments are far, but it´s something you can live with because it´s not difficult using public transport in Budapest and besides you're not bothered by traffic while you're sleeping, so the location is not so terrible after all

Liked: Probably the best hostel I have ever been to ! The owners were extremely helpful; they helped us book our tours and made us feel at home. The hostel was very clean and comfortable. Nice location, as it was quiet and a quick easy walk to every part of the centre of the city. We will definitely return there on our next trip to Budapest

Liked: Big space in rooms.

Disliked: - No recepcionist. - When a guest arrives to the adress pointed out above, he need to make a phone call in order to make conntact with the administration. - It don't have lockers nor logagge room.

Liked: Top place. Excellant flat right next to river. john is a helpful, cheery guy. No problems whatsoever. Even get free sweets! Just to let you know - it's not really a hostel, just a load of flats all over the town. So, not really the thing if you want to meet people. But great if you're with your group of buddies and want a private place of your own.

Liked: I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND THIS HOSTEL NOT EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY. First, is not a hostel, but some apartments. No real reception, they just give you a number to call just in case. We arrived at 21hs and we felt realy insecure, the building is old, falling apart. The apartment follows the building description. OLD DIRTY NO PROPER LINNERS (old and didnt even cover the whole bed) .What to say about the bathroom?? The shower was the worst i ever tried, kind of no curtain, a lamp is set as the bathroom light. Everything got wet when we showered, and not even a mop in the apartment to clean it!! I felt insecure even when sleeping, the lock of the door looked like being fixed.My holiday mood was ruined by this hostel.

Liked: This is not a typical hostel - you live in apartments that are located in different parts of town. This means that the social life is minimal.However, the facilities are good, the staff is friendly, and the locations are excellent!I would recommend Astori to those who are looking for a cheap place to stay, and those who don't need the social life you normally find in hostels.

Liked: However the furniture and other equipments were very old fashioned and old style, the room we got absolutely worths its money. If you want to stay for several nights with your Love in peace for low budget, then this is the best solution I ever faced before everywhere in Europe!

Liked: This is not a regular hostel which resides in one place, on the contrarythe rooms are spread in the Budapest center so they meet you in Koraly korut 16 and takeyou to your real accomodation. For me it was fine especially that the real accomodation was even closer to tourist's attractions. I would like also to mention staff friendliness.

Liked: it is not a hostel like I know it from other countries or from Hostelling International. No reception, no special building but beds in rooms of several flats scattered mostly in the centre of town (for instance I did meet the responsible person in Karoly Körut u. but stayed in Vaci u., i.e. absolutely central!So actually Astori Hostel is not a hostel but flat rentals as far as I experienced it.But nothing to say against it.

Liked: It was an apartment not in a hostel. This suited us perfectly as we were on our own, but it wouldn't be a place to meet other travellers. But the apartment itself was perfect. The location is outstanding. Right in the centre of Budapest near the main metro station and within walking distance of all the main sights and the Danube. Good value for money as well. I recommend.
