Liked: LOVED lavender circus, the best hostel i stayed in during my europe trip! loved the character of the rooms and helpful staff with fantastic recomendations

Liked: really cool look to it. Very cheap for the private room. staff very helpful and friendly. really good location. quiet, relaxed and able to get on with your own thing.

Disliked: They advertised self catered facilities but it was expected really to eat out and therefore kitchen facilities not very good. showers were pathetic and small in number.

Liked: Especially the staff, they were really kind and they gave us a lot of useful advices! Location is perfect, in the heart of the city, close to everything you'll need and you'll want to see. Bathrooms were clean, and the hostel is protected with several key locks - it gives a secure feeling.

Disliked: I'd say everything was fine, no dislikes :-)

Liked: Worth a stay in its own right. The apart/hostel has bags of character and querkiness. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for sight seeing and the value for money was the best we had on our 6 week backpack through Eastern/central europe.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: super-friendly and helpful staff, who told us all the good places etc in Budapest, nice and clean rooms, individual design, very central!!

Liked: The hostel was one of the best things about our stay. I loved the really quirky decor (cheese grater lamp shade!) and it was walking distance from everywhere. Everyone there was delightful.

Disliked: It's fairly small and often full of couples so if you are looking for people to party with, you may not go there. Also, if you object to stairs then it may not be your best bet, but no complaints at all.

Liked: Very central, very clean, great rooms, and great facilities (kitchen, internet, books,etc). The staff are extremely friendly, helpful with any question, and gave out free tastes of palinka (hungarian alcohol). We were upgraded to a room with an ensuite for no extra charge. There was a communal dinner for everyone staying in the hostel on Saturday night. This is probably one of the best hostels we have stayed in and I highly reccommend it.

Disliked: The only bad thing was someone stole our food out of the fridge..

Liked: The artistic touch in the Hostel is something worth mentioning! Great atmosphere and great people. The girl in the reception received us at 2 a.m. and stayed up with us explaining what to do in the city, where to eat, have fun, etc. Really recommended! Best hostel we ever stayed at. Btw, free coffee was really appreciated.

Disliked: No complaints whatsoever...

Liked: Really helpful staff who give you a full run down when you turn up which is really helpful (top tips). Easy location to city centre - walking distance, Nice big room.

Liked: Excellent location, 2 min to the metro station, and the end of Vaci utca. Opposite the beatiful Central Market, and a couple of nice bakeries in the vicinity, where we had our breakfast. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi, and even a laptop provided in the common room to access the internet (in case you are travelling without your laptop). A very funky decor.

Disliked: We stayed in an apartment with our own kitchen for 8 nights during which the apartment has never been cleaned. I understand it's a hostel rather than a hotel, but some cleaning standards are still expected. Our rubbish bin was overflowing by the end of our stay, and the receptionist say she will empty it which she never did. That's the only negative comment I can make. Also, the fact that the hostel is on a very noisy street where you can hear non-stop traffic through the night is a bit disappointing, but then it's not their fault, and if you are sufficiently tired by the end of the day, like we were, you will just swtich off and not hear any noise.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even hosted two dinner parties in my 3 night stay while I was there. Also, good location.

Disliked: 3 flights of stairs with no elevator was difficult with my big bag and annoying after walking around all day. Also, the bathrooms/shower were often in use when I needed them.

Liked: The outside balcony space and funky interior were great. Made staying in the hostel really memorable. The traditional Hungarian meal cooked for all at the hostel was great. Felt like we were staying with friends.

Disliked: It would have been nice to have a wardrobe as well as a chest of drawers in the room.

Liked: ABSOLUTELY GREAT HOSTEL! The staff was so helpful and friendly, they even offered us a "welcome shot" and hungarian wine all the time! They recommended great places to eat and stuff to do and were always there to help. One night they invited us to their dinner party to cook some hungarian food with us! All for free! Beautiful room and fantastic quirky interior decoration through the entire hostel! And we also loved the fish tanks :-D Awesome location!!! Stay here, you won't regret it!

Liked: This is a truely amazing hostel!! The friendliest staff was at our disposal whenever we needed help or some advice, it has a perfect location and lots of character! The atmosphere is bohemian (in the utmost positive way!), rooms were spacious and in keeping with the whole design of the hostel. Loved it and will definitely return to this place when in Budapest!

Disliked: Nothing really.
