The hostel is situated on Semmelweis utca, in btetween Deak Ter and Astoria metro stations.
Step by step guide to finding the Red Bus Hostel from Ferihegy 1 & 2 International Airport.
We recommend you to take the Airport Minibus who will deliver you to any address in Budapest for 2990 Forint per person, the Airport Minibus Co. have an information desk inn the arrivals terminal.
But for those who prefer, here are the directions by public transport
.
1. Buy 2 × 290 Forint tickets each from the newspaper shop in the arrivals terminal.
2. There is a bus stop ( Repter busz ) right outside the front of the arrival terminal, jump on the bus and get off at the very last stop Kobanya Kispest, please remember to stamp your ticket in the orange boxes on the bus.
3. When at Kobanya Kispest, walk over the pedestrian bridge to the metro station, again remember to stamp your other ticket in the orange boxes before you get on the train.
4. Jump on the train heading towards Ujpest Kozpont and get off at the tenth stop Ferenciek tere.
5. When you exit Ferenciek Tere and follow the exit sign for Kossuth Lajos utca.
6. Walk along Kossuth Lajos utca and take your second left into Semmelweis utca.
7. The Red Bus Hostel is at the very end on the left at number 14.
Step by step guide to finding the Red Bus Hostel from Nepliget International Bus Station.
1. Nepliget metro station is inside the bus terminal.
2. Follow the blue M .
3. Buy a ticket called Vonaljegy for 290 Forints each from the window marked 'Penztar'. It is best to write down what ticket you need as the clerk behind the counter will do their best not to understand you.
4. Make sure you stamp your ticket in the orange boxes at the top of the escalators.
5. Jump on a train heading towards Ujpest-Kozpont and get off at the fifth stop Ferenciek tere .
6. When you exit Ferenciek Tere and follow the exit sign for Kossuth Lajos utca .
7. Walk along Kossuth Lajos utca and take your second left into Semmelweis utca .
8. The Red Bus Hostel is at the very end on the left at number 14.
Step by step guide to finding the Red Bus Hostel from Nyugati Train Station.
1. When arriving, please be careful of people offering you somewhere 'better to stay' or to change money at an 'excellent rate'. If you must take a taxi do not pay more than 2000 Forints.
2. Next to platform 10 -13 is the main entrance, exit here onto the main street.
3. 20 metres away on your right are some stairs heading down to Nyugati Metro Station, follow the blue M.
4. Buy a ticket called Szakaszjegy for 240 Forints each from the window marked 'Penztar'. It is best to write down what ticket you need as the clerk behind the counter will do their best not to understand you.
5. Make sure you stamp your ticket in the orange boxes at the top of the escalators.
6. Jump on a train heading towards Kobanya - Kispest and get off at the third stop Ferenciek tere .
7. When you exit Ferenciek Tere and follow the exit sign for Kossuth Lajos utca .
8. Walk along Kossuth Lajos utca and take your second left into Semmelweis utca .
9. The Red Bus Hostel is at the very end on the left at number 14.
Step by step guide to finding the Red Bus Hostel from Keleti Train Station.
1. When arriving, please be careful of people offering you somewhere 'better to stay' or to change money at an 'excellent rate'. If you must take a taxi do not pay more than 2000 Forints.
2. Next to platform 6 - 9 are some stairs heading down to a concourse, towards Keleti Metro Station follow the Red M.
3. Walk across the concourse and the square to the metro station entrance.
4. Buy a ticket called Szakaszjegy for 240 Forints each from the window marked 'Penztar'. It is best to write down what ticket you need as the clerk behind the counter will do their best not to understand you.
5. Make sure you stamp your ticket in the orange boxes at the top of the escalators.
6. Jump on a train heading towards Deli Pu. and get off at the second stop Astoria .
7. When you exit Astoria metro station follow the exit sign for Kossuth Lajos utca .
8. Walk along Kossuth Lajos utca for approx. 15 metres and take your first right into Semmelweis utca .
9. The Red Bus Hostel is at the very end on the left at number 14.
