Liked: The staff were the most welcoming and helpful people I have come across in all the hostels I have stayed. The common room is small but creates an excellent place to meet other people. The location is perfect. It is close to the nightlife, sights, food and supermarkets. The rooms are clean, and the beds are really comfortable. I was very impressed by this hostel and what it had to offer. It definitely exceeded expectations. I had so much fun and if I return I will be sure to stay here again.

Disliked: You need to make sure you close the fridge properly. I think I kept leaving it open a little. Although the staff were really polite and didn't say anything to anyone, they kept getting up to close it all the time.

Liked: Quite a unique little hostel! In particular, the staff are friendly and know their way around the city, and spend great effort in showing us the real city of Budapest with all it's hidden gems. Book a room, and expect to find a warm familiar place that reminds you of home, right in the center, with guests alike. Good opportunities to explore the city, if you didn't come here just to party of course. Recommended!!

Disliked: Nothing really! Though, well, let's just say the elevator is quite cosy ;)

Liked: This place is great, regarding the price, location and atmosphere. It's very cosy and the staff is very welcoming&helpful so u feel warm like in ur house :) all in all, it's an amazing hostel!

Liked: This place is great!!!! The people are awesome and really nice! I would recommend this place to anyone because it has a laid back and fun spirited vibe. Not too small, not too big. GO HERE!!!

Liked: The staff were outstanding..!.I have been on road for coming on 3 weeks and stayed in many hostels.The staff at te groove have been the best.Thanks for the great stay! The hostel is also very secure clean and comfortable.

Liked: The atmosphere was so nice, is a personal hostel, very small, comfortable, with a beutifull staff and big rooms. The most beutifull thing is the staff, and they prepare typical food once a weekend! So delicious!

Liked: friendly reception staff, did our laundry for only a fiver! advised us of night excursions, places to visit, and local points such as supermarket, internet cafe etc.

Disliked: No aircon in the room!!! (we had a private room). it also didn't advertise that we had to share a bathroom. No problem, but would have liked advance warning. Also, not enough signage, but if you read their directions, you can find it easily.

Liked: Good location and helpful staff. A great place to stay in Budapest.

Disliked: Rooms were quite noisy due to the road outside but this wasn't a major issue for us.

Liked: Lively atmosphere, lots of colour, always clean and staff extremely kind. Felt at home right from the start.

Disliked: English lads that stayed, they are the types that give the English a bad name but this is not the hostels fault.

Liked: There is such a good vibe and friendly environment.

Disliked: I was assigned a bed which was already taken, so I had to move out in the middle of the night. You need to bring you own lock for the locker because they have a very few quantity.

Liked: Just about everything, the staff were super friendly, and took us out to a gig one night. The beds were really comfy and the whole place was really clean. It's only a small place with 24 beds but this adds to it's character and makes it really easy to meet fellow travelers.

Disliked: It's location on one of the main roads can mean traffic is a bit noisy at night, but it's a price worth paying for such a central location.

Liked: Awesome location, excellent value for money, everything was spotless and was much better than we expected - rooms were huge, facilities were great and the staff were more than happy to help and really helpful! We really enjoyed it here, wanted to stay longer and would definitely recommend it!

Liked: My boyfriend and I stayed in the private double room which was really nice. The atmosphere at the hostel is super friendly and fun, the girl offered us cold lemonade as soon as we walked in. Also, this hostel is a great party hostel. Even though the private rooms are in a different area you can join the main hostel anytime for nightly pub crawls or just chilling out and meeting other travellers. Wifi was really strong too which was nice for a change. I would def stay here again!

Liked: The environment is really friendly. The place is cozy, the staff is very nice, and the hostel in general is fun. It just has a great vibe.

Disliked: They don't offer breakfast, and they don't accept credit cards.

Liked: The double room with ensuite is more a hotel than hostel, spacious and modern. The dorms are ok and have locable locker. Location is great as tram stop just a few mins away and the line is perfect for both sides of the river. Staff give great tips on gigs to go to in the city.

Disliked: Staff seemed lovely people but pretty poor at running a hostel. Our confirmed booking was double booked meaning we spent first night in dorm. We added a night but this also seemed to disappear when it came time for us to move causing undue hassle though they did end up sorting it out. The free internet is one laptop with no printer etc which was hard to get on to with other guests using it and it timed out when using it to transact. The one washing machine is used by staff to do laundry/linen for hostel beds etc so had to wait 3 days to get use of it despite asking on first night. Not enough showers in dorms meant long waits in mornings.

Liked: The Groove has a Groove...a very homey atmosphere and fun at the same time..I met wonderful people there.Since it's not a very big hostel you have the chance to bump into the same people during the meals which makes you bound much more.I exchanged nice experiences there!I defenetely recommende it! Staff was fantasntic, friendly and helpful!

Liked: Good location, small, friendly and a great place to meet people. Definitely a social atmosphere.

Disliked: I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a good nights sleep as you have to pass through dorms to get to other rooms and it's small so you can here what's happening in the common area in the dorms. It was quite dirty, especially the bathrooms and toilets.

Liked: Loved the room! We had the double room which was massive!! Really comfortable and such a pretty place to stay. The building and courtyard were fantastic.

Liked: very nice place, great atmosphere and wonderful location.

Disliked: right next to some main street and the windows are quite old, so it's not exactly quiet there. But no problem for a few days.
