Liked: It is located pretty much in the center, you can walk everywhere.

Disliked: There is not a common area where you can meet other travelers..

Liked: Great location, all major atractions in walking distance. Hostel is nice and clean. I stayed with my girlfriend in ensuite with own bathroom...it was a really big room, bigger than average room in much more expensive hotels. Stuff in also nice, friendly and helpfull. Overal, it was great value for money. Would I go back? Yes. Highly recomended!

Disliked: Parking... I was in Budapest with my car. Hostel is located on square and you can't park car there. So the best thing to do is to go to one of nearby streat and park a car there, where locals leave their cars. I was there during weekend, so I didn't have to pay for parking, because it's free. During working days, this could be a problem...

Liked: It was an amazing experience. We booked a room for two people, and we got a huge apartment with everything we could need: kitchen, bathroom, TV, 2 large rooms etc. It was a big surprise, I didn't expect this from a hostel. The staff was kind, we had free internet, it's in a very good place in he heart of Budapest.

Disliked: I didn't have any bad experience. The doors were a bit tricky when I had to enter first.

Liked: Nice atmosphere, free tea and coffee which makes you feel at home, great bathrooms which are really clean!

Liked: A beautiful, old building in perfect location.

Disliked: The noisy garbage truck that emtied numerous trash cans in the early morning.

Liked: I liked the location. Excellent access to airport and cultural sites. I was very impressed by the building. Friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed my stay and I have recommended the hostel to friends.

Liked: The friendly, helpful staff, the lovely clean en suite bathroom and room and the wonderful building the hostel is housed in. We were so close to all the things we wanted to see it made our holiday so easy,

Disliked: Not the hostels problem but it could be a little noisy outside as people seemed to like to sit in the strreet outside our room and chat at about 3 a.m. If politely asked to "go away" they always did. Air-con might have helped here-- it would be worth a little more on the tariff.

Liked: We arrived hours before check-in, exhausted and ill. The staff were very understanding and let us use the kitchen and internet facilities and generally have a much needed chill out on the sofas, no questions asked which was much appreciated. The hostel itself is just gorgous, really tastefully decorated and in a lovely building. Rooms were super-clean, and the double floor in the 10 bed dorm made our stay feel completely unclaustrophobic.

Disliked: Very little, we had a great stay. Kettle in upstairs kitchen could perhaps do with a bit of a clean/descale though

Liked: Great location with a very cool entry way, close to transport, supermarket, restaurants. Rooms were light and airy and clean. Staff were very helpful, informative and cheerful whatever the hour. This place was exactly how a hostel should be.

Disliked: Nothing - everything was great.

Liked: This was probably one of the coolest hostels I've ever stayed in. The Hostel is a renovated Habsburg Palace! The facilities are nice and the lobbies are great... big screens TVs, Computers, Wifi, and a phone to call anywhere in the world for FREE. Hands down one of the best ones I've stayed at.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Free wifi available, the private room was one of the four rooms in an apartment-like setting, so we had a common kitchen right outside our room. The location of the hostel was SUPERB, with the train station right outside the property. Within walking distance to most of the attractions and food. Also, security of the hostel was good, requiring a key card or key entry at all entry points to the hostel :)

Disliked: Private room was a bit small, but wasn't a big deal to us. Could be an teeny issue if you are a bit on the larger side.

Liked: We had a really fabulous time. I have given the best ratings to all the features listed at Q4 but I think the helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff was the really outstanding feature. The hostel is wonderfully spacious, in an elegant building, well located for transport and so for seeing the sights. The kitchen, the internet connection and Skype were really appreciated. We think Budapest is a great place to visit. Thank you.

Disliked: If traffic noise at night bothers people (it wasn't for us) then it would be advisable to ask for a room towards the rear of the buiding. That's the only caveat I'd have.

Liked: One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Really friendly staff, beautiful hostel (it used to be a manstion!), great kitchen, comfy beds and great location. If I ever go back to Budapest, I will definitely stay at the Maverick. Can't recommend it enough!

Liked: I would like to say it is more home stay style rather than a hostel. quite friendly hostel, the staff are quite helpful. the building inside at the gate at night is very beautiful as the images we can see.

Disliked: if you are not too fussy , everything is fine. it would be better if there are not a high school trip at the time I stayed.
