Liked: Great Hostel, great location, comfortable beds, of course you get free coffee and tea which is always a plus in my book, will recommend to friends and family.

Disliked: Lied about the cost of taxi to the airport, they said it would cost 4900 HUF, when I was charged 6000 HUF.

Liked: Stayed in a 5 bed ensuite with my family(kids 9,12,14) for 1 summer night. Location was awesome for sightseeing. Room with bathroom was very clean. Maverick is 50m from metro station and has 24hr market, great inexpensive bakery, and money exchange within 25m of front door. Ensuite room door has keylock, and building front door has 2 electronic doors for security too. Great family value as Pest hotels were requiring my family to rent 2 rooms which would have been more than double the Maverick cost. Staff email communication was good too, and gave extra detailed directions to Maverick via the airport, bus, or metro.

Disliked: Some road noise, but all of us tired travellers slept very soundly.

Liked: Friendly staff, small but very comfortable room with huge windows and window sills, big kitchen, cozy living room with computers, couches and even a guitar.

Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: It was very close to a metro stop and allowed for easy access to places all over Budapest. The 24 hr market downstairs was very convenient as well.

Disliked: The staff was not very helpful, I was overcharged at check in and had to prompt them about the mistake myself to get the money back (although they said the error showed in the system as well). They were not very forthcoming about sight seeing or specific restaurants to go to, all in all not the friendliest hostel I have stayed at.

Liked: From the directions they gave on their website on how to get there from the airport, the friendly and very helpful staff, and the extremely clean rooms, everything about Maverick was great! Upon check-in, the staff took more than a few minutes to provide a map, get us oriented, answer questions, recommend things to do and places to eat, and was extremely knowledgeable about what to do in Budapest.

Disliked: Everything was perfect; nothing to dislike.

Liked: I loved the clean, well equipped kitchen, friendly staff, good facilities- hairdryer etc, beautiful building, great common area spaces, nice hot powerful showers, very secure! Brilliant hostel, an absolute luxury for travellers but with an affordable price tag! X

Liked: Good kitchen, free internet (4PCs), lounge for talk - and best of all they upgraded me for free from dorm to private room! I am more than happy with my stay!

Liked: One of the most original looking buildings i've ever stayed in and really freindly staff helped towards a great stay. Its 5 minutes walk from Deak Sq. which is really handy for getting around. They have Internal Cafe downstairs and WIFI available on other floors and they run tours and social activities from the hotel as well.

Disliked: The social area had what was needed, but looked a bit like a doctors waiting room, no air conditioning made the rooms hardwork in the real hot summer time!

Liked: Really beautiful building which was in a fantastic location and felt really really safe. The guy at reception was very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. also the laundry service was pretty good.

Disliked: wasn't the best place to meet people and when we were there was a problem with the second floor shower but that was being fixed as we left i think.

Liked: very clean, very helpful staff, and a good location good value for money.

Disliked: There was a lot of road noise, but in our room, there was no wardrobe, no tabletop storage, we felt they should remove the TV, and put in a wardrobe and a mirror, maybe a kettle etc, but we did have a good time there.

Liked: They upgraded me for free from a six bed to my own room which was fantastic. Free wifi that worked in the rooms, free towel, coffee, tea, had free alcohol some nights... Right next to a metro stop and bus station and supermarket

Disliked: only thing is it is a little quieter than most hostels but then it has been nice!

Liked: We have traveled to 7 countries on this trip. This was the best hostel! Location is wonderful, the building has character, great staff, kitchen area for each suite of rooms. we loved it!
