Liked: Vey helpful owner. When I arrived he spend time providing me with maps and showing me all the things I could do while in town. Very clean hostel, had everything I needed. Also very centrally located!

Disliked: Nothing. Quite happy with it!

Liked: The best hostel i have ever been to. We were put in an apartment that was very clean and pleasant. Very cheap too. It had everything (fridge, microwave, great heating etc.). Csaba and atilla helped with everything we needed such as tourist activities, good restaurants etc. Easily the friendliest hosts i have come across. They will assist with anything, even laundry! They seem committed to ensuring visitors have a good time and that thats their main priority. Truly awesome. Ill be back!

Disliked: Absolutely nothing. This place was perfect. Book this place while you can!

Liked: We booked a private 2 bed room, but instead the hostel gave us a wonderful little apartment right in the heart of the Central district. Was incredibly convenient. Very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful in resolving any issues.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: The owner was very helpful and avaialble able to answer any questions. He also offered advice on tours to go on and to book with him for a discount.

Disliked: The walls were too thin, so you could hear the guests staying next door. Not good if you're a light sleeper or the guests next door came back late and drunk.

Liked: Great location, great facilities and csaba was awesome recommending places to visit, resturants,clubs , bars and anything in general you needed to know!

Liked: Location fantastic, the staff fantastic, there isnt much wrong with this place really

Disliked: its central location means its a good walk from the three train stations, but you cant help that now really!

Liked: The location is prime! And the host, Csaba is really nice, helpful, and gives you great tips on enjoying the city. He seems like he enjoys taking care of travelers. The place is essentially an apartment, offering kitchen utensils and basically everything you will need even if you actually lived there. All in all, a great place for its value.

Disliked: The facilities: bed, toilette, etc. were not the best quality. Again, for the value, this is a great place to stay in.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely big rooms and beds. Excellent facilities. Perfect central location. Clean and warm (we visited in the Winter!). Beautiful building. Great value for money.

Liked: Csaba is a real nice fellow and has LOADS of info about places to see and visit. The hostel felt more like an apartment with a complete kitchen and a spacious common room. The room had big lockers with keys already provided so we didn't need to use our own locks. The hostel is also centrally located so everything is within a walking distance. Nearest metro line is almost around the corner.

Disliked: No complaints. Should have stayed for a day or two more.

Liked: This was hands down the best hostel i have stayed at on any continent... not only were the rooms spacious and clean.. the host was the best tour guide you can ask for - he made you feel like you were truly at home. We had no problems with anything, always knew where to go out, where to eat, what sites to see, and how much to expect to pay.. Next time i go to Budapest I will stay here even though I can now afford a 5 star hotel room (yes its that good)..

Liked: The owner/manager was ridiculously nice, and even took me to a cobblers to get my shoes fixed! We got a fully equipped flat all to ourselves, with a proper kitchen and bathroom. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.

Liked: Happy Hostel is better than a 5-star hotel. My room was spacious and clean and light. I made good use of its fully appointed kitchen and living area. My friendly host, Mr. Csaba, provided me - and other guests - with a wealth of useful information about Budapest that made an unfamiliar city very familiar. By using the on-off bus tour he recommended and his store of knowledge as a guide during my entire stay, I was able to experience in a few days many facets of life in this fascinating city - its museums and art galleries, its old world coffee shops, and its wonderful and inexpensive eating places. Had I had been staying elsewhere - even in the luxury hotels of Budapest - I doubt that I would have gained the "Budapest Experience" provided me by Happy Hostel. I am recommending it to all my colleagues at the university here in Norway. Budapest is a wonderful city to visit and Happy Hostel is exactly the place to use as a home away from home.

Liked: Although I booked a 4 bed room I ended up in a six bed, which was not an issue in the end and my balance was discounted to make up for this. The room was really a self contained flat so plenty of space and a full kitchen. Once you get over the initial shock of being somewhere with such a warm welcome compared to other hostels and the unconventional layout (No general reception) everything!s fantastic. Comfy bed, clean space, tea and coffee for free and a full low-down on the sights from Csaba the owner, are all just some of the benefits of this place. Altogether, a very Happy stay!

Disliked: Unfortunately I wasn!t able to stay here the extra night I decided to stay in Budapest as they were full. Other than that, no complaints at all!

Liked: For facilities, this hostel can't be beaten. Each room is really much more like a flat, featuring kitchen/lounge/dining room, bedroom on a mezzanine floor and bathroom (including washing machine!).

Disliked: The walls are a little thin, so noise can be an issue, depending on your neighbours!

Disliked: Was quite when we were there, but I it's not very sound proof, so you can hear all your neighbors within the building.

Liked: This hostel was fantastic!! When we missed our train our first night, Csaba was very understanding, not even making us pay for the night. He also personally walked us to a pharmacy and ATM, showing us safe and easy routes. The hostel is like small apartments, and we had one whole apartment to ourself the first night, being able to cook a meal and watch the TV!! Great location, would stay again in an instant!!

Disliked: that we had to leave!

Liked: Absolutely fantastic stay. Delightful private double room, which was more of a small apartment than a room. Clean, comfortable, and well located. The owner, Csaba, is extremely friendly and helpful. I arrived late at night, but was met and shown to my room, it really couldn't have been better. Would thoroughly recommend Happyhostel to anyone travelling to Budapest.
