Liked: The hostel was superb, such high quality it could have been a hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they really went above and beyond and that genuinely made our stay in Budapest. The hostel is run by two brothers so they really care about you having a good stay. The hostel is in what looks like a residential block of flats with a beautiful courtyard, so the setting is excellent, and the location was very good too, easy access to wherever you want to go. The guy from the hostel sat down with us on arrival and using a map gave us loads of useful information, from where to go for sightseeing and drinking, to how to avoid the ticket inspectors fining you on the trams and metro! He really took his time to make sure you have all the information you need and they offer that level of service to all guests. We asked about when the spas would be open being new year, and when we went to reception the next day for him to call and find out, he'd already called for us and had the information at the ready! These guys really know customer service. The room itself was super (we had a private ensuite room for 3, which had a double bed plus bunkbeds), beds extremely comfy (and one of my travel companions has very high standards in that respect!) with duvets and bathroom has a power shower. Well heated and fridge in the room too, plus use of communal kitchen with free tea and coffee making facilities. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hostel to anybody visiting Budapest.

Liked: nice and spaciu\ous bathrooms. friendly and very helpful staff. kitchen with everything zou need. even a dishwasher!

Liked: Bathrooms looked like they belonged in a nice hotel, the service was great (Bartek is a funny man), the common room is cosy, and beds are fairly comfortable. The location is pretty good, and maybe 20 mins away from the main station.

Disliked: The noise outside did disturb my sleep, and wifi is pretty weak as the signal is near the ground floor office. These things could be resolved with ear plugs, and moving the wireless router.

Liked: The owner really goes out of his way to make sure you have a good stay in Budapest.

Disliked: The kitchen gets rather messy and people aren't cleaning up after themselves. However, there are any signs posted to do so.

Liked: Fantastically kind & helpful owners, who cannot be faulted for service and friendliness. Utterly spotless and well equipped, modern, air-conditioned facilities, in a charming, historic building - cannot recommend highly enough.

Liked: This was a great find. Zoltan the manager is super nice and helpful, the location is great, and the beds are so so comfortable. It was like staying in someone's apartment. I heard the same compliments from many people who were there at the same time as me. It is a very clean, friendly hostel with great facilities.

Disliked: You can hear road noise at night when the windows are open.

Liked: Friendliness and personal attention offered by Zoltan Racz, the owner. Spotlessly clean. Very convenient location to all the public transportation routes. I met many interesting people here. For 18 nights, it really felt like home.

Liked: The best thing about Corvin Point was Zoltan (staff) who was wonderfully helpful. We really enjoyed Budapest a lot thanks to his daily recommendations and advice! The place is small and clean and definitely has got a lot of character and is also very cozy. It's right near the metro and a tram stop which makes it a great place to get anywhere around the city.

Disliked: The only little problem for us was that you have to walk through the common area to get to the toilet and shower but as it's such a small place it doesn't really matter.

Liked: Absolutely brilliant. Zoltan--the owner--is extremely friendly and a great guy. Told us a lot about Budapest and where to visit and made us a lovely breakfast every morning (though it wasn't really 'continental' as the description suggests!). The room we had was huge. Hands down one of the best hostels we have stayed in.

Liked: This is a small, unique hostel that I liked very much. It's in a "real" Budapest building, an old apartment building that has a history of its own - there are bullet holes from the 1956 Uprising!It is really compact and intimate and therefore friendly. The location is interesting and good, a simple tram ride or walk from everywhere. For me, the best feature of Corvin Point was the young proprieter, Zoltan, who is extremely professional and helpful and knows everything possible about Budapest.
