Disliked: nothing really, the owner might hav been a bit too helpful especially when u just want to leave in a hurry he wont take no for an answer, though his intentions where good

Liked: Andrew (the owner) was a great guy, who made us feel instantly welcome and told us all about the area and where the best places to go were.

Liked: Andrew the owner is so friendly and so ready to help you, he sat down with us with a map and was a great guide to the city. The rooms are really spacious and the beds are large single (not bunk beds which was a huge relief after travelling for a few weeks!). Bathroom and kitchen facilities had everything you needed. Great location. The character and personality of the hostel really stood out and made it nice and homey. The girl also working in the hostel was a great help and was a great guide for good restaurants and places to go out. The best hostel I stayed in during the whole trip.

Liked: great atmosphere, very friendly, staff were fantastic - very helpful and lovely! Dorm room was spacious and nice common area. Central location!!

Liked: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Andrew basically helped my planned all of my days there and the fact that it located right on the river bank pleases me since I ALWAYS enjoy being close to water. There are some nice restaurants and bars close by.

Disliked: It's too far away from the metro but I wouldn't blame that onto the hostel, rather the metro system of Budapest is not that well organized...

Liked: Tidy, clean little hostel with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere.

Disliked: If anything, one member of staff went on for too long about what to see and where to go. Keeping it concise and then asking what people want to see and do might be a better approach.

Liked: Incredible, central location, welcoming atmosphere, great common space, and AMAZING staff, who are always there to help out, and help orient you with the city. Top hostel I have stayed at all summer by far. Highly recommend!!!!

Liked: One of the best hostels I have ever been. Andrew is a great person, when one arrives he gives a talk to explain where to go in Budapest, this talk also helps meeting new people.

Liked: Location was great, Andrew was an amazing guy who helped us find everything we needed in Budapest, he couldn't have done any more to make our time better in Budapest, we had a spectacular time! Facilities were great as well! All around I onl have good things to say! Thank you for an amazing time :)!!

Liked: Good rooms, good lockable lockers, good facilities, help if you want it (and even if you don't), good location

Disliked: It was difficult to leave Andrew after you had asked something or he had decided he wanted to tell you about something, you would be stuck there forever when you just wanted to get going. He also came into our room and started chatting to us asking what we were up to etc which you might like but I didn't think was necessary.

Liked: The staff is amazing. Andrew sat us down and showed us everything to do in town and even told us some of the history behind it. The hostel has a funky, cool feel to it with a small living room and kitchen area. The kitchen was very small but has everything you need minus an oven. The rooms are spacious and have lockers. Easy access to public trans. Clean

Disliked: Nothing really. I would have liked a balcony to smoke on, but it was only one flight of stairs to go down when I needed one.

Liked: Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Well situated right next to parliament and on the river. Clean, safe, and secure. Very easy to meet people.

Disliked: No bar, but lots of cheep beer everywhere nearby.

Liked: I loved Home Plus Hostel. It is clean, comfortable, secure, and centrally-located. Andrew, the hostel owner, is an incredible person. He is very knowledgeable about the city and he can help travellers with anything that they wish to do while in Budapest. He goes out of his way to make hostel guests feel comfortable. I am travelling by myself and I really felt at home here. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone travelling to Budapest, and I will stay here again if I return to Budapest. Another plus - doing laundry is very cheap (only 5 euro!).
