Liked: It was really central, meaning you could walk and be at the points of interest within 10m. I stayed at a dorm but my bed was big enough to fit 2 people and there were extra blankets in case you were cold. Also I peeked into a private room and it was a great room. The building looks like its going to colapse, but inside everything is new and clean.

Disliked: It was close to empty, so it wasnt really a party place, to but then again it was around christmas time, most people are not traveling. Also the common area (and the access to computers) closes at 10 p.m. Breakfast was not that great, but edible

Liked: Good location & easy to find, great staff, good place to rest.

Disliked: Some wall sockets not working, lights have switches in weird places.

Disliked: They were changing the windows, but that's just unfortuate timing as they have to do it at some point.

Liked: The hostel was very well placed in Budapest within easy walking distance of the centre of Pest and public transport. It felt pretty safe as there were two locked doors to get through. The staff were pretty helpful giving us extra blankets after we complained of being cold.

Disliked: The towelst that cost us 500 florints each did not smell very clean or fresh. The bedding in the room consisted of blankets rather than duvets and did not keep us particularly warm or comfortable, even after being given extra blankets.

Liked: Very helpful and friendly staff, good location with nice bars down the road and a well equiped kitchen and sitting area.

Disliked: Quite difficult to find, once inside the building it isn't entirely clear if it is a hostel until you get to the top floor.

Liked: I'm so happy this was my first experience staying at a hostel solo! The staff was really friendly and helpful, and I immediately felt at home in the hostel.

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: It was located well for transportation connections...or you could just walk from the Keleti train station...if you like walking

Disliked: I didn't see the second floor facilities. But if the main floor was full, I'm not sure how the two showers in one bath would work...

Liked: really friendly and helpful staff. Location is good as well

Liked: The breakfast though simple but sufficient to provide sufficient energy for the morning. The rule of keeping quite after 10pm and close of common room after midnight were excellent.

Disliked: Rooms at the roof floor were with inclined ceiling just over the beds making not so comfortable. The wooden floor was a bit loose. A lot of annoying noise was produced evening walking with light step.

Liked: Weird and wonderful building, quite small in a good way and you can't not meet people here. Good location for getting all around the city.

Disliked: Nothing. Don't be put off by the stairwell.

Liked: Very good atmosphere | friendly and helpful staff | roof terrace | free breakfast | close to metro station (5min walk) | free internet and wifi | very small and familiar | situated in good district for eating (my recommendation: MENZA) and going out (my recommendation: SZIMPLA - best pub I have ever been to)

Disliked: the building was very old and not in good condition, but the hostel itself was okay, though not always perfectly cleaned - but not it was no too bad. The only thing I can really complain about is that we could not lock our room. There was no possibility to lock the room from outside and the lock to lock it from inside was broken. That caused that other guests came in our room in the middle of the night and used our bathroom. That's really a point the hostel should fix very soon, though there are lockers in ervery room. One thing more wasn't perfect: we booked an ensuite room and that means to me that the toilet and the bathroom (shower) is attached to the dorm and not puplic, but in that case our room only had got a bathroom, but we had to use the public toilets on the floor.

Liked: Very easy to meet the people who stay in the hostel, and an open space that invites everyone to join in.

Disliked: The breakfast.

Liked: The two best things about the Unity Hostel are the location & the staff, who were all very nice & helpfull; I mean if they're not at the reception it's probably because they are doing something for a guest & they will be back in 5mins. The kitchen & common room are all in 1 location so it's a great place to meet other travelers & exchange stories to find out some cool places that are not on the tourist books. Good value for money!

Disliked: Only a small problem with finding the hostel because of the small sign, but luckily we had the full address so it wasn't that big deal.

Liked: Clean and homely, and very good location for going out/eating. Easy to get everywhere - 15 minute walk to the river, 25 minute walk up to Heroes Square. Very helpful and accommodating staff.

Disliked: Was fairly empty when we were there, but was a Sunday - Wednesday at the end of May so could just have been the time that we were staying.
