Liked: Very friendly and welcoming - I was made a coffee when we first arrived and also dinner one evening. It is a relatively small hostel and the staff work hard to make you feel at home without being intrusive. Lovely to have proper bathrooms too - just as long as others don't luxuriate in the shower too long and use up the hot water. Internet free to use. Very good central location in an interesting old building. Characterful place!

Liked: great location. great staff. very clean and comfy and the heating was quite good which is very important for winter time. also the pub crawl organized by Martin was great and he took us to the best drinking places.

Disliked: it's quite a small hostel so meeting people is a bit of a challenge but definitely possible if you try. taxi they sent to pick me up from nepliget bus station cost a bit more than it says on website but probably because it was private so more reliable.

Liked: wonderful place, close to metro and in a busy area, only 10 minutes walking to the real centre, so great location. the apartment was huge and comfortable and the hostel very nice, great design. if i'll come again to budapest I would come back to this place!

Liked: Everything. Lovely place, friendly staff, really full of character and well designed - I wanted to stay longer just to stay here. As a solo traveller this was great, it wouldn't suit big groups.

Liked: This is the best hostel I have stayed in Europe and it does live up to its name! During my stay, there happened to be the bi-weekly home-cooking evening. Guests and hostel staff were getting together for Hungarian red wine and delicious homemade dinner and went out afterwards. It was great experience to get to know Budapest, culture and people. Facility was great- clean, comfortable and thoughtful. Tasteful interior decor. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Free coffee, tea and internet. Very central location- walking distance to many attractions and a few steps away you can hop on public transport to anywhere of the city. The owner Feri was very hospitable and put some great thoughts behind this hostel. You will never feel alone staying here even if traveling by yourself. Wine, people & Budapest. What else would you ask for?

Liked: Very nice staff.They even cooked Hungarian food for us!Very nice kitchen.Great location.

Liked: the staffs are very helpful all the time.. the location is very good, the hostel is simple, but verz clean, cozy and with comfy beds..they really try to make you feel at home!100% recommended!

Liked: Staff are lovely, caring and extremely helpful, and rooms are fantastic! Love the design of the rooms... Everything was perfectly clean and everything we needed was provided...certainly miss this 'home' in Budapest and people we met there :) looking forward to our next stay there!

Liked: I loved that it was so homey. It didn't feel like a hotel, but more like a family. We all had dinner together on Tuesday night, and it really brought all the travelers together. We ended up going out for the evening together after dinner, which was a great way to meet people. The beds were comfortable, everything was very clean and the hostel had a LOT of character.

Disliked: It was a little bit noisy at night off the main street, but no more so than most other hostels.

Disliked: One of the staff became very annoyed that I could not work the coffee machine on my first day. I decided to purchase a jar of instant coffee, myself.
