Liked: Great for socialising, awesome night life trips sorted, very cool setting, location is amazing ... cannot think of anything wrong with the place! never wanted to leave.

Disliked: Nothing! Absolutely nothing!

Liked: I loved everything about this place. The dorms were great looking, clean and lots of character. It's not your standard run of the mill hostel. Home made allowed you to hang out with fellow travellers and they took care to make sure you enjoyed Budapest. Lovely place!

Liked: I have been traveling around for some time and I have been to many, many hostels . The feeling of being in a country where you don’t know anyone, where you don’t understand the language and you have no idea what to do, where to go and enjoy the most of your stay can be quite intimidating, but at Home Made Hostel it just does not exist. It made me feel as part of the whole thing, part of the place, part of the culture, part of Budapest. The place is very central and amazingly cosy. If you appreciate local architecture, you will find a beautiful building. Since the entrance, through the living room, the bathrooms, and the kitchen you will find the most charming premises. The room is so clean and spacious and beds are very comfortable. The windows are huge and you can feel the fresh breeze entering the place while the natural light illuminates it. If you are there on Tuesday, you will try a delicious traditional meal prepared by the owner himself and his friends for the entire Hostel. After that, you might even experience a lovely , funny and exciting night at a pleasant pub/bar/tavern in Budapest. I met so many people there from all over the world there, including Hungarian people! Isn’t that great??!! The staff is amazing, all of them, no exception!!! They know exactly how to be professional without losing the human touch. What else can I say? Well, I was really sad to leave the Budapest and I hope making Home Made a visit someday. Miss you guys!

Liked: Great atmosphere, beautifully selfmade furniture and decoration,extremely nice staff, free tea and coffee, good location - all this causes a good mood in the guests, so there is a general friensly atmosphere, easy to get to know people there for exploring the city together. I'll be back without even considering any other place!

Liked: One of the best hostels I ever stayed in!! So much fun and everyone was so friendly!! Made new friends and wished I had stayed longer! We even managed to join the free dinner!!

Disliked: Nothing...a little gloomy entrance but once you settle in, everything's forgotten!

Liked: I loved everything about this hostel. The friendliest atmosphere - a great place for a lone travelers. I have been to hostels all over the world and this was the best. It even has down doonas! A delight.

Liked: Absolutely BEAUTIFUL accommodations and in the perfect location for sightseeing and eating! The facilities were very clean and the staff went out of their way to be friendly (they even took us out to a bar one night) and were very helpful. The best experience I've had at a hostel so far!

Disliked: The only thing that might be a problem is that it can be a bit loud when staying in the 8 person dorm room, but no more so than any other location where you don't have a private room. And, frankly, the hostel is so comfortable and nice, it well makes up for it!

Liked: Very easy access to public transport and extremely central location with 24/7 convenience store just downstairs.It is probably cleanest hostel i've ever been to. Staff have been really helpful even after i checked out and came back to print out my flight tickets. Spacious and clean bathrooms.

Disliked: I cant come up with one.

Liked: The hostel was extremely cozy and cute. It was ideal for the environment that I was seeking in Budapest. This was my favorite hostel to date. Everyone was extremely nice, friendly, helpful, and fun. I would recommend Home made Hostel to anyone going to Budapest.

Liked: This was one of my best stays ever in a hostel. Staff and owner are very nice, location is great, atmosphere is cool. The place is clean and secure. I really enjoyed my stay.

Liked: I love everything at the hostel... it's really like home away from home. They try to make you feel welcome all the time, and are so helpful when it comes to your travel arrangements, tours and activities. Love hungarian dinner!!!........ It has a great location, you can pretty much walk everywhere, even at night! I totally recomend it!

Liked: Amazing hostel. Small, intimate, great dorms and amazing staff. Perfect location: atm, grocery store, 24/7 grocery, metro stop, great restaurants all within two blocks.

Liked: The staff were wonderful and a hostel is only as good as its staff. I would go back tomorrow if I could. The location near Octogon is excellent and because Budapest is small the central location made moving around very easy.

Disliked: No negatives.

Liked: Great location, beautiful city, cozy place to stay - you'll feel at home, with good bathroom, internet access and dorms. During my stay it was most of the times peaceful and quiet, good to relax after sightseeing all day.

Liked: The person who checked us in was wonderful! She took her time to tell us, in detail, what to eat, where to drink, and what to do. She also gave us a shot of "Patrinka." When I said that I did not have the local currency to pay, she said not to worry and that I could pay her later, and then she even accepted the US dollars I had. The place has 3 bathrooms and a kitchen. And a great living room to hang out in and talk with people from all over the world. Will definitely come back. Nick

Liked: One of the best hostels I've stayed at in Europe! Not too big, not too small. Always a good crowd moving through. A big plus for me is the bathrooms, which have recently been rennovated and are well maintained! Most importantly, it's well located for food, nightlife and and other tourism.

Disliked: I don't like smoking but you can hire a Shisha for 2 Euros here...I'm turning a negative into a positive!! Only smoking allowed outside, of course.

Liked: Spacious, clean rooms with good wifi. Amazing kitchen. On Tuesday's they cook a fantastic dinner for their guests, even those with a gluten intolerance. Very accommodating and helpful staff.

Liked: Travelled for 9 months straight.. this was one of the best hostels I've stayed in. It feels a bit like home; its cosy and the staff there are all genuinely wonderful and always willing to help out or just chat. The location ie pretty central and the hostel is kept spotless. Cosy and small - great way to meet people especually as a solo traveller.

Disliked: That I was only staying 5 nights.
