Liked: Great atmosphere, feels like home. Perfect place for great people and travellers. The staf was always helpful and had alot of tips for what to do in Budapest.

Liked: Well-situated, the perfect hostel to meet new people... Hungarian food on Tuesday night was good =) And, well, the dorms look cool!

Liked: The staff was friendly and helpful, the location is good (near central points like oktagon and the train station, and in front of a tram stop). The hostel really feels 'home made', it looks more like someone's house with a cool creative taste, nothing like the massive unpersonal hostels you see sometimes. I stayed there one night only but enjoyed it for sure.

Disliked: Can't think of anything really. It's a small hostel with a personal character, I liked it a lot, but that's a matter of taste. Be prepared to pull a chicken to get in the first time though ;-)

Liked: Home Made Hostel was amazing. It's really small, so it does have a little more of a home-y, intimate feel than a regular hostel. The staff is super friendly and helpful from the second you walk in the door, and that helps set an atmosphere that makes all the people staying in the hostel open and friendly as well! The place itself is really cool; well-designed, immaculately clean, comfortable, and located right in front of both a tram and a subway stop. This was seriously the best hostel I've ever seen by far.

Liked: The fact that they call themselves "Home Made" is more than reasonable. The atmosphere is incredible, the staff is very friendly (they cooked for the whole hostel twice in one week, which was absolutely amazing!) and they speak english very well. This is probably one of the best hostels I have ever been to (and I've been to a lot in the past 10 months). I would strongly recommend Home Made Hostel and I would definitely go there again. Not only because I liked it so much, but to visit some new found friends.

Disliked: I did not really miss anything, but something someone might dislike is that the hostel is located on the first floor of an apartment building, which means, there are other people living above the hostel. So you should avoid screaming and loud noises after 11pm. Actually we did not get into trouble, but it might happen. We have been there for a week and we have been anything but silent. One night we where just hanging out in the common room until 3am with the stuff. Furthermore the hostel is surrounded by a lot of nice pubs, so there is no need to stay in the hostel. And the pub-crawl, which is almost every night, is really worth the money.

Liked: from the point i arrived till the next afternoon when i turned up to pick up my bags after a afternoon of sightseeing in pest the staff were helpful and i can not recommend this hostel any higher

Disliked: no real dislikes about this hostel only real down side to my room was squeaky floor boards but in a old building that will happen nothing that a pair of ear plugs wont fix

Liked: Hostel has everythIng you could want - great location, fantastic location (we didn't get on public transport once), clean and friendly staff. The hostel's bar tour and free Hungarian dinner were also awesome.

Liked: Everything! This was a great hostel! I felt like I was at home. Very relaxed atmosphere and easy to meet people. I really enjoyed myself here.

Liked: Really nice hostel, very helpful staff that cooked us a really nice evening meal! Very clean and nice bathrooms and good bar crawls organised.

Disliked: No air con, definitely need it in the summer!

Liked: The small size - it really was the feeling of being at home.

Disliked: The common area was a little on the small side, which made it feel like you were in the faces of all staff and other hostellers.

Liked: Staff and other travelers were extremely nice and helpful. Was like a home away from home.

Disliked: Nothing. A 4th bathroom would be nice for busy times but managed regardless.

Liked: The Home Made Hostel, was exactly that, it felt like home! Everyone, the staff and the guests were really friendly. The beds were comfortable and the dorms were set up differently to most hostels, giving each person a curtain so they had their own little space. The shower was reasonable and the kitchen area was very homely. The staff ere great, gave us a map and showed us all the places WE wanted to visit, rather than promoting random tourist rubbish.

Disliked: Although the Hostel was great, the entrance to the building is a little intimidating!
