Liked: Great location, very helpful staff (they spent ages trying to help me when the train strike hit!). Not a place to party hard, but nice, cosy, homely feel in good, central location with clean kitchen and bathrooms. Thanks!

Liked: We LOVED staying here. This hostel has the most AMAZING staff of any I have ever stayed in, and I've stayed in lots and lots across Europe. The facilities are clean and very well maintained, and as an added bonus, the decor is whimsical and fun. The staff at Home Made Hostel really go above and beyond to make sure that you feel like you are at home. They were awesome at recommending things to do and at booking things if you needed that done as well. We stayed here for three days and on the last one were not leaving Budapest until the overnight train. The staff insisted that we hang out for the evening, continue to use the facilities and even had us stay for the home cooked Hungarian meal (which was excellent) until it was time for us to go. They let us stay that entire evening ( and fed us) even though we weren't paying for a room that night. There was a real sense of community at the hostel and it was a great place to meet other travelers. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Liked: Most warm and cosy hostel we've stayed in. Staff very approachable, friendly and helpful with pointing out places to eat, see/hear live music and go out. Unique and welcoming decor, very clean, COMFY BEDS, free internet and wireless. Location 100m from metro station, halfway between Heroes Square and the river (easy walk or metro to either), surrounded by lots of great cafes and restaurants and relaxed bars.

Liked: Best hostel I have stayed at so far in europe. the staff are really friendly and helpful. it is in a really good location. we got a free hungarian meal on tuesday night which was delicious. it was clean. it was lots of fun. the staff are the best. no bunk beds and the beds are really comfortable. definately a home away from home.

Liked: The location was perfect, the staff was amazing, and the overall vibe of the hostel was like non-other. It's one of those places that makes you want to go back to visit a city like Budapest because you know there is a good hostel to stay in!

Liked: Absolutely everything was perfect. I was travelling around europe, booking only on web's TOP hostels announced by the popular ratings in this website (hostelbookers) as well as I saw in different hostel websites. Definitely, THIS IS THE TOP OF THE MIND HOSTEL - and I`m not being unreal. Man, they have a perfect atmosfere, hotel home-like rooms, great location in the city, the staff is OUTSTANDING FRIENDLY!!! They have everything you would need in the kitchen (really full equiped)... and they can even wash your clothes in a timely manner... sweet. Right in the corner of their building you can find a 24/7 store selling from canned goulash to delicious cheap wine. They also have SEVERAL shops around, as McDonalds, Burguer King and Subway - and the Pub Crawl leaves really close around. I was in a hurry when I left the place and forgot a nice Nike jacket in there... but I'm completely sure they still have it in there (probably washed up and smelling like wild flowers, lol). There is no other description to this place than AMAZING. (Home Made guys: let me know if you are interested about a brazilian version of Home Made!).

Liked: The dorm rooms are spacious, and there is a relaxed, welcoming vibe in the hostel throughout your stay. Dinner was made for all guests on one night of our stay, and provided a good opportunity to meet new people.
