Welcome to Home Made Hostel! If you are looking for a home from home place, book here. Being located in a beautiful apartment in a 19th century building in the city center, we offer something different than usual 'bunk-bed' hostels do.

What do we have, what do we offer?

- YOU BOOK, YOU COOK. Join the pass-it-on campaign and learn how to cook traditional Hungarian meal. Cooking Tuesday nights 2 February, 16 February, 2 March, 16 March, 23 March. Free to attend and eat. Surprise events each week.

- Rooms: the interior in the rooms are individually designed. We have comfy
beds (no bunk beds) with heaps of space. Some rooms also have lofts, which provide privacy. The rooms are lockable and each bed has a separate locker.

Two rooms (4-bed and 8-bed) are interconnected. Our private double en-suite room iis a nice, small apartment located next door in the corridor with a bathroom and a small kitchen. Also suitable as a twin private. WIFI and flat screen TV set available. Check-out time is 11:00 am. Check-in time is 13:00 pm

- Facilities: Our facilities are clean and very well maintained.

- Character: the decor is whimsical and a whole lot of fun, going beyond your typical drab backpacker room. All the rooms are equipped with furniture designed and redesigned by our staff!

- Beds: we have very comfy beds in open and spacious rooms among warm and inviting furnishings.

- Staff: the staff at our hostel really go above and beyond to make sure that you feel like you are at home. We do our best at recommending things to do and at booking things if you need that done as well. They are very approachable, friendly and helpful with pointing out places to eat, see/hear live music and go out.

- Atmosphere: there is always a real sense of community at the hostel and it is a great place to meet other travelers.

- Location: 50m from metro station, halfway between Heroes Square and the river (easy walk or metro to either), surrounded by lots of great cafes and restaurants and relaxed bars. This location serves as a great base for exploring Budapest. Moreover, the hostel is in the middle of all the hot spots, popular sights, nightlife spots, shops, restaurants, markets, cafés, clubs, theatres and cinemas. Wherever you want to go in the city, it is within a stone-throw. In the neighbourhood you will find ATM machines, currency exchange, post office, pharmacy, pubs, night clubs, movies, restaurants and shops of all sorts.

1 Please note that if you arrive before 12:00 am (noon), we may not be able to guarantee you a bed immediately. If you arrive earlier, you can store your luggage at the hostel and hang around if you want.

2 Please note that we are NOT a party hostel. If you wish to party, we can recommend you places nearby.

3 Please also note we are an individual and independent hostel. Any hostel's name, character or description in Budapest is not related to our hostel

4 Please inform us if you are likely to arrive later than your indicated arrival time. Please note that if you are late more than 3 hours and if we receive no previous notice, you may risk losing your bed. Thank you.

Accommodation Information

New! Our Double Ensuite room iis a nice, small apartment located next door on the corridor with bathroom and kitchen. Also suitable as a twin private. WIFI and flat screen TV set available. Check-out 11:00 am, check-in 13:00 pm. Suitable for families as well.

Our private double room with a shared bathroom can also be booked for 3 people with an additional charge of 50% of the room's price (extra bed on the loft). The room can also be booked as a twin private room.
