Special atmosphere, nicely decorated. Kitchen with full facilities, fast and free internet acces, tv / dvd, and everything is brandnew.

We arrived to find our room had been double booked out so I can't actually comment on mandragora doubles - we were refered to the mandragora hostel and stayed one night in the vintage suite which was very large and had lots of character. However, there were communication problems and we were then told we had to be out at 8am the next day and we would then transfer back to the doubles. This was sorted and we weren't made to leave after much hassle and stress. We agreed instead to stay in the mandragora hostel for our remaining two nights and thought everything was sorted - but came home the following day to find our bathroom ceiling had collapsed covering the room in rubble and smashing the bin into pieces! Very lucky we weren't in the room at the time. The staff working at the hostel were very helpful and did let us stay in the dorm room for the night until we could sort out the situation the next day. We ended up staying on the sofabed in the dorm room in the hostel and were refunded much of our money, but basically our holiday was pretty much ruined by then anyway.
On the plus side, I would recommend the dorm rooms in mandragora doubles as were very clean and had lots of character, very quiet if thats what you want - not really for partying.
I wouldn't recommend booking the vintage room as it seems to be a bit unsafe.
From the 30 seconds I got to see mandragora doubles it did look exactly like the photos and was very nice - but I can't comment anymore than this.
I am sure we may have been (extremely) unlucky with our stay - but I certainly would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Beautifully decorated, great kitchen, close to metro and shops....only problem only three rooms so don't stay here if you would like to meet people. Its more a kind of couples retreat...

it was not crowded like a hostel, very intimate for couples, when we stayed there was no other guest so we had a whole beautiful apartement for a few days:)
